Hey everyone, I just wanted to give a little insight for anyone in the market for a set of intakes for their F8X. After having recently installed Arma’s intakes on my car as well as my buddies M4 we couldn’t be happier.

In the past I’ve had several sets of intakes on my F80. Including Eventuri, BMS and RK tunes front mounts. Each set offered something unique and none of them let me down. But none of them felt like the full package. I can honestly say these intakes have by far exceeded my expectations.

First Sight:
At first sight when opening the box I was astonished at the quality. After having the Eventuri intakes I honestly didn’t think anyone could match the carbon fiber quality they offer. I was totally wrong. Not only is the quality on the same playing field, but they include more for less money in the package.

Install:
Install was pretty smooth. I will say they could do a better job on the directions. But this is actually something Sam (sales rep) was up front with me about. So there was no surprise. They took me about two hours to install. Everything fit absolutely flawless. One note I’d add though. If you have a BMS oil separator you’ll require a minor trim on the passenger side intake box. I figured that out as I went. Other than that small hiccup everything was perfect. Arma was definitely not to blame for that of course.

The Drive:
For my personal taste, I actually enjoy hearing the swoosh of the intakes. One of my concerns before purchasing these was that the intake boxes would diminish the sound. Again I was wrong. You can really hear this things swoosh. Almost an identical sound to the Eventuri intakes. So if a little extra sound excites you. These will be perfect.

Performance:
In my honest opinion I think the performance difference from any of the intakes I’ve used would be negligible. But I really think the up side to these is that with the boxes over the intake filter they aren’t just sitting there heat soaking unlike the other intakes I’ve used. So with these you not only get the quality but maximized functionality as well.

Overall thought:
After owning several sets of intakes and no being completely happy I’m very confident this will be he last set I need. If your looking for something that is show quality in the engine bay but also fully functional. I’d reach out to Sam at Armaspeed and see how he can help.
