I regret Mineral White. First car with PPF, and my edges get dirt and show too much on white; also, you see yellowing more with white PPF. And I supposedly have the best, Suntek Ultra. I HATE white cars with PPF.

Also, I hate white because of all the rock chips that platter my rocker panel behind the front wheel and on the rear fender, despite the PPF there, I have lots of chips above where the PPF is.

I wish I had gotten Sakhir Orange or a blue.

I love Limerock Gray so much. Couldn't be happier.... unless it was Porsche Chalk but I'll save that for a Porsche.

I kept waiting to pull the trigger on paying for Individual paint (Atlantis) though in my heart I knew it's what I really wanted.

After picking up the car, I knew I made the right choice. If you plan to keep the car for a long time, it's absolutely worth getting the color you truly want. Every time I look at it I smile.

I don't even bother with colors as I always have color regret. I always default to my M3/4 to white and my M5 to black. Picking colors is super fun but there is always a risk. Yes i'm boring but I like being happy.

I totally agree. While saving 5k is obviously desirable, waiting until end of production, hoping your dealer gets a "free" individual paint car that may or may not have the specs you want is a gamble and especially loss of utility today. Some people think they have bragging rights because they didn't pay 5k...

I will gamble on a big recession happening and E46 M3 manual competition package with 10k miles and single 90yr old owner showing up at my door for 20k!

MW still looks great but the more I see it, the more I think pearl whites look a bit feminine. No offense male MW owners.

I guess it's just embedded in my brain from seeing so many females driving around pearl white Lexus IS and Infiniti Q50s.
Not offended MW has to be the most forgiving/easy maintenance automobile on the planet. If I had to do it over? AW, less money, white is well, white.

How so? Maybe in the sense that MW doesn't show swirls or smudges as easily as a dark color, but on the flip side, road dust shows very easily on white, if you have PPF like me, you see dirty edges and more yellowing, and it shows every speck of road debris. I would argue that white and black are equally difficult to look good, for different reasons. My rocker panels look like crap on MW because rock chips show on white as little black specks.

One drive in my MW and I see dirt on it. On the other hand, my wife's Samurai (dark) Gray Q7, it doesn't show nearly the dirt after one drive, it still looks clean.

I like my AW with the carbon bits, but I do wish I would had opted for an individual Atlantis or SMB. I just couldn't justify the price and the fact that the first rock chip would bring too much sadness.

I’m on my second MG M3 and I sometimes lament not getting Mineral White. Grey is great for hiding dirt, but white looks spectacular to me when it’s clean. Beyond that, a true classic silver is still my favorite.

Swirls, micro scratching, pretty much non existent, +10 on that one. As far as rocker panels go, a couple blemishes but nothing terribly noticeable. Yellowing?? Maybe it's your auto shampoo but mine looks showroom ready. My past bimmers include Jet Black, Alpine White, Titanium Silver, Le Mans Blue, BSM. This color has been ridiculously easy, maybe I'm doing something right??

I agree, white is soooo easy to take care of. I detail, as a hobby, and while I love the ease of white, its also hard to get the spectacular mirror finish after a good paint correction and waxing/sealing.

No regrets with my color choice - Smoked Topaz Metallic. I have always been a fan of darker colors with the exception of blacks and greys - I owned an Avus Blue E36 M3 and an Imola Red E46 M3. While it is technically an individual color, I magically found my car on the dealer's lot. The fact that there are only 2 F80's in the US configured like mine (STM, Carbon Structure, ZCP and 6MT) makes it even sweeter for me ...

I went from an AW 340i to a MW M3 and I love the MW. I missed having a white with some metallic/pearl in it.

Since all F80s are now used, and I was looking for a DCT ZCP with black interior, my options were fairly limited so I was going for Glacier Silver first (silver will always be one of my favorites) and then Mineral White, but would've been ok with another Alpine too.

If I could've chosen any color though, it would've been Laguna Seca Blue, then probably Imola Red.....maybe with the G80 someday

Tanzanite is a great color, but it only looks like that from a given angle in very bright sunlight/light. It is a very, very dark blue that looks black a lot.

Head on over to the photo sections "ACAP Films of West Chester (or ...of Main Line)" on Facebook or Instagram.
My car is on their page if you scroll down midway through. Its SMB with the dark 666 wheels. (I tried to upload the pics directly here but damn MacBook is spazzing out with trying to attach pics)

My go-to color would've been either Miami Blue or Fire Orange had I have known that indiv. colors would be no charge only a couple months into MY20.

Fiancee pointed out how the shade of SMB looks close to the blue Civics or WRXs on the road. I know its all in jest, but now I can't unsee it.
