Question F82 DCT Hasitation??

Hey Guys,
I have had my '18 M4 almost for a year now and i'm wondering if someone can tell me if this is a normal behaviour from the DCT.

Sometimes (always at the same place) when i'm accelerating veeeery slow just so the 3rd gear kicks in, and the car slowly rolls down in speed, it sometimes feels like the car is stalling when going in 2nd gear...?? Just like if it its a manual car you forgot to downshift while coming to a traffic light.

The DCT works perfectly fine besides that.
Just got the diff replaced by BMW and they also did uptade the software on the car, but the hasetation is still there? (Reason for the replacement on the diff has nothing to do with this).

Called my local BMW dealer and the expert on these cars told me that these DCT transmission can sometimes kind of live there own life and they do not like slow driving...

Just to be clear, i am almost everyday driving in D1, efficency, comfort and comfort. This doesen't happen if the DCT is in D2 or manual.

Looking forward to hear from you guys!

I get the same. It’s like when cruising in D1 it holds on to 3rd gear too long.

Only real complaint I have with the DCT

D1 is not good if you want responsiveness. Just use D2.

Ok, so then just drive in d2 would solve the "issue", makes sense tho.

Your adaptations have evolved to driving the car in comfort majority the time. This is normal and this transmission is not the best in the world to begin with.
