How are you liking the shifter now you've had it for a while? I know you had said you got a bit of vibration and added effort getting it into gear? Would you still keep the same setup if you were to do it again?

Yes, I would def keep the setup. I wish there was a nice weighted shift knob option for the F8X. I have no found one I like, though.
I also would like to install the UCP.

i ended up getting a great deal on a MP CF rear diffuser, so the SSK will likely have to wait. i'm hoping quickjacks go on sale again, so i can finally get some and maybe attempt the install myself. maybe i'll do the UCP in the meantime.

This is probably as close as you are going to get to a DIY for a SSK install on a F8x. It is what I used as my primary resource for my DIY Autosolutions SSK install. I also added a few notes to the thread with my DIY install experience.

I would not consider this a beginner DIY project. But like any DIY project, a little patience and having "most" of the right tools for the job goes a long way…
