Oil Cooler Replacement & Dead Animal smell

Good Afternoon,

I recently hit some road kill at night in my F80 M3. It trashed the oil cooler (thankfully it didn't bust, just bent really bad).

Got a quote from my local BMW dealer to have the parts ordered and replaced. $3,000 was the amount.

However, I can source the parts myself for a fraction of the cost and my local shop says the labor time is 3 hours vs BMW Dealerships quoted 8 hours.

Has anyone else replaced this before and the same experience? Any pointers?

Also, HOW DO YOU GET RID OF THE DEAD ANIMAL SMELL......
I have gone to the local car wash and scrubbed the undercarriage and power washed it twice and the stench seems to just linger.....

Appreicate any comments back.
