Getting my F80 tuned today!

Getting a Noelle performance tune today. I can't wait to drive this beast after it's finished. Thanks to Bavarian Rennsport Jacksonville, FL.

For $2.5K there better be a dyno report showing a miracle. On a stock motor, stock turbos and stock fueling a custom 93 full-kill tune gets you about 550WHP. That price can't include HPFP upgrades. I'm suspicious...

I would suggest a custom Paul or Cary BM3 tune and save $1500 for new fatter rear wheels and drag tires.

I've rode in a custom tuned Paul johnson tuned F80 with cateless down pipes and full exhaust. No where near the power my car is making now. After riding in both an M2 Comp the shop owned and the BM3 custom tuned tuned car. The difference is worlds apart. That's why I spent the extra and I get a warranty for piece of mind. That's what sold me. I don't mind spending the extra money if it will be worth it. Power is so ridiculous it's scary now.

You've got a warranty and you're happy. Nuff said.

Topjimmy I was very skeptical too before I rode in a M2 with the tune compared to full bolt on with Paul Johnson BM3 tune. Both were fast but when I got in the M2 and he hit 170 mph on a rather short ride going up hill I was sold. Pulled like a train freight train even up top!

So for 2500 you get a warranty, a solid tune and a CBC... Are they going to comp you a motor when the hub spins? They are confident the CBC it secure enough?
Tell me more...PM me please

Never mind I looked it up..... they only warranty a car with a existing warranty. As in if you have an issue during the 4yr 50k warranty they assist you. If your out of warranty your on your own. Nothing said about CBC's

Yes I had the same questions and concerns. Trust me my car has 9k miles which is pretty much new so I had tons of questions. I spoke to Ron which is the partner/owner of Noelle performance of North America. He assured me that the motor will be covered if the bolt capture solution fails. However he told me the bolt capture solution is holding up very well with very high hp F80's without fail.

I just uploaded a quick video that I shot while riding in his M2 Comp. I couldn't get my phone out fast enough.

Is it true they void the warranty if you put your car on a dyno?

Yes I believe so, call Ron at Noelle and he can explain it to you better than I can. What he told me was that you need 7 million cubic feet of air at the speeds or something to the degree of that in order to properly dyno the car. Ideally it needs to be in a wild tunnel so you don't damage the car or get heat soaked. And no tuner is going to have a wild tunnel dyno in the states that necessary to test abc maintain all safety parameters. Again I'm no engineer so Don't quote me which is why I say call Ron at Noelle and he can explain.

Also you can call any tuner that installs and they will tell you more specifics. Trust me I have the some amount of skepticism when they told me that, and every tuner that installed Noelle tuned said the same thing "don't even bother with with anything else, go with Noelle you will not regret it".

I am way out of warranty due to age. The nearest auth dealer is in Atlanta. I assume if they include the CBC in the 2500 tune package the car needs to go to a auth dealer to do the install then flash the tune.

Correct, they won't do the tune unless you get the CBC done due to the fact that it exposes them to risk I'm assuming. I'm not sure about installing but I would imagine that they would have to do the CBC install to validate it's been done correctly. Call the installer in GA

Thanks. I assume they will let you to take it to a drag strip or do some dragy pulls to get 1/4 mile times without voiding?

FYI, I clicked the link you posted and I couldn't find any performance data for our cars. Do you know where they are?

Yes no issues at all with tracking the car with the warranty, I did ask them this same question. Call your local installer and they will give you more specifics. My local installer was Bavarian Rennsport since I live in Jax FL, but before I took the plunge I called 4 others installers across the county that did all types off tunes and they all said they would only use Noelle. Just call around and do your DD.

Hmm smells like self promotion or you're getting paid to promote. If it's not, I'd be careful. https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1678497

Thats one hell of a thread.

I'd like to see dyno results of any tune not just this one.
