Tire size question

I recently purchased my m3 which I plan to track in the summer. I am coming from tracking my 911 and before selling it purchased a set of new Yokohama tires. The sizes are 295/30/18 and 225/40/18. I was wondering if I could run this size on the 513m wheels and if it will effect performance in any way? I am not concerned with stretch in the front as the cars were mounted on 9 inch wheels on the Porsche and didn't stretch due to the fact that these run slightly wide. Will the 295's fit in the rear on stock edc suspension?

That will be too little tire in the front for track duty on this platform. You will have pronounced understeer, especially with that much rubber in the rear. For reference, stock stagger is 255/275 on this chassis and I personally run a square setup of 275.

That's what I thought, but I figured I would ask. Thanks for the info.
