Torquing the suspension

Looking to install mp has Next week. Someone mentioned I should preload the rear suspension before torquing everything to spec as to not cause premature failure of the bushings.

How does one preload the suspension. Is it simply jacking up the hub then torquing?

Lowered onto ramps and torqued it that way. give it a quick bounce too after lowering to settle the suspension a little.

Only the rear was mentioned to do this. Shouldn’t bith front and rear be torqued like this?
