Installed mp has
Installed mp has recently. The car is ZCP with cs coding.
I am set slightly below Bmws recommended height. It’s nice to remove the wheel gap in the front. But i don’t think this makes the car feel any differently at all over the stock ZCP springs. The only thing I notice is that I feel road imperfections slightly more. The car feels slightly less Numb. I think if you are looking for a performance gain you’ll need to buy a set of high end coilovers. This is an expensive solution to lower the front an inch and not destroy the ride quality. That said if you are not ZCP I could see gettin this kit. This confirmed my suspicion. |

Well, there's nothing worse than destroying your ride quality and handling just to get rid of some wheel gap.

I mean it makes sense to get this if you intend on tracking the car, etc. but thanks for sharing.

Did you get it aligned already? I'm assuming not cause you would want to wait for it to settle first.
Did you consider corner balancing? Bold conclusions for only being part of the way there when the kit is meant to be utilized for more. This is also probably your 7th unique thread on MPHAS. Might make sense to consolidate similar topics together in the future... or use the master thread that everyone else has been using. |

I did the same thing with my 2018 Comp. Installed the KW HAS and the height was perfect but the ride was terrible. Had it on for less than 6 months and then swapped everything out for the KW V3's...and have' t regretted that for a second!

Reducing ride hieight reduces weight transfer which results in improved total grip during cornering and braking. So yes, it is a performance improvement. But it's not something that can be felt with street driving, you need to take it to the track for that.

Agree with CanAutM3. Unless you can compare on a track or with a track car (I have a dedicated track car which allows me to compare apples to oranges). I know what I want the F80 to feel like and have an idea of what it's missing but can tell you with the MPHAS setup properly and with the correct tire setup you're getting a pretty sweet setup.
Of course everyone has different driving styles and their idea of what feels good on the road and track. |

I'm considering doing CS coding next. Did you have the CS coding BEFORE installing the springs? Were you happy with the coding? Did you feel any handling upgrade with the CS coding? I'm wondering if the coding is what's obscuring the benefit of the springs for you?

An alignment and corner balancing is not going to make a difference. Unless of course the alignment is way out of wack which it’s not. Yes sorry about the multiple threads. I think stuff gets lost in the bigger one though. And when people search. My feedback will be found much easier as a separate thread. Last edited by matty088; 08-29-2020 at 08:37 PM.. |

Definitely. I mean sure. At the track there could be a performance increase. But I think you’d have to be a very experienced driver to be able to get better times in one setup vs the other. Most of us are not going to shave off any time going from stock to this I would think.

Not really. I think new coilovers is more of a track setup than this. I think most MP has is for people that want to lower the car and keep the ride close to stock. My experience and review is that This is a cosmetic mod. And I think that question has been something that many people have wondered about. So. I am sharing my view. This isn’t a performance mod for a ZCP car.

I would recommend switching back to ZCP coding. Also what's your wheel and tire setup? I found this also made a huge difference after switching to MPHAS. I'm now pretty dialed in and satisfied with my overall ride and performance.

And I think you are right about ZCP coding. I drove car today. It does soak up bumps nicely. Just wish the rear was a bit tighter. I feel roll back there |

I disagree. Strongly. I’ve tracked the ZCP. Multiple days.
I’ve MP HAS and adaptive suspension on my 2015 w/ 19 inch wheels 9.5 and 10.5 inch. 265/285. EDC coded CS.

Right now I am at 24 5/8 in front and 24 1/4 in the rear. I think I will be dropping the rear to 24. I think the key with ride height for these cars is that you need to really the slam the rear in an effort to not get that dreaded rake nose dive look.
This is on 666 stle rims. I’d love to hear what other people have their ride height set at with the stock 20s |

What about recalibration of the ICM. Would this be an important step? I still need to get an alignment FYI. But I doubt it’s off much. |
