Best Chicagoland Dealer for Service/Repair

Who is generally the best dealer for service and repairs in the Chicagoland area?

Go to Performance Euro Werks in Elk Grove. Otherwise I have historically used Patrick BMW, and they hand wash the cars.

If you are in the far north suburbs of Chicago, reach out to: Rauch Autocare in Waukegan, 847-235-2204
Bob (owner and head mechanic) has worked on all my BMWs (E36, E53, and F10) for the past 20 years. He's also supported the local BMW car club (Windy City BMW) during their racing weekends.

I highly recommend his garage for service.

I’ve been trying to reach these guys for over a month. They never seem to respond anymore. Anyone else having issues getting in touch? I’m 2 hrs south and want them to do an e46 SMG swap so can’t just drop in

Yep. Performance eurowerks pretty much sucks now. You can't get them to commit to a job. Everyone recommends them and I have friends who have used them with complete satisfaction, but they are so busy now that they don't respond to emails or voicemails. I tried to have them do a bunch of stuff in my m3, and they never got me on schedule. I emailed them a laundry list of work I wanted done in April that was going to come out to at least 10k and they would send me a reply one or two weeks later stating they are busy but will send me an estimate soon. Every month through the summer I would follow up and get an 'I'm sorry' response with the promise of an estimate and appointment within a week. Well, it's almost September.

These guys don't care at this point. They have their client base and don't care about new business. I just wish they had been honest about that from day one, or even day 90, rather than apologizing and stating they would get me taken care of.

I don't know about a dealership but EP3 has been great to work with. Smart guys and quality work. They did my crankhub and have had their hands on plenty of cars in the area. Check them out.

Weird, I just had a track alignment done there and got ahold of them first try.

Maybe they prefer smaller jobs vs what I'm needing done and the other individual who was looking for over $10k in work?

I've been there a couple times and they have so many "larger" jobs in their garage. They barely had room. I will say they are extremely busy. I usually drop my car off for a few days on my way to ohare when I travel for work and it's ready when I get back.

Patrick BMW in Schaumburg. Ask for Greg. He’s a longtime active member on this forum.
