No, this is a bit gauche but we've been here a bunch so basically it's all about pool-tan-read. we may go to banana joe's, though. If you're familiar, the whole north coast beyond princeville is shut down due to the april flooding ...

but I'd be lying if I said we didn't come here for the stamens too

Try The beach house at Poipu. Excellent food, best sunset on earth.

Yeah, that place is great, been there many times - these days, we mostly just eat at the hyatt club, which sounds ridiculous, but they have good stuff now! Plus it's just so easy to roll off the pool lounger and make the 100 foot walk over ...

Oh, and just got back from a trip up north - if you're familiar with Banana Joe's by Kilauea, it's basically closed! Apparently Joe and Cindy stepped back in December and now it's kind of a boutique chocolate shack that's off in the corner compared to the new mini-golf place ... I guess they'll have the smoothies back across the street with Joe's special machine soon, but ... kinda not the same.

So Arcades you're gonna have to trust me that this is a Nardo Grey chrysler I saw in the parking lot. on a chrysler. rental. And also trust me that I've seen this color on Suburus, hyundais, and all manner of other cars. do not pick this color.

o.O

Would you end up picking White though? Isn't that like underwhelming? I'm not the type to do crazy colors on cars (aka green) The three times I have seen the RS5 in my area, two are in white, one in black.

I have... oddly yet to see Nardo on a Audi RS car in my area, it has always been on BMWs.

welp, we're gettin into some pretty deep opinion waters here, but yeah I'd rather white it out ... because Nardo is clearly a color trying to be special, but when you have 20 copycats out there, it makes it a fad fast.

Like carbon fiber bits on a 4,000+ lb car.

I saw a guy with a CF trunk on an infiniti family sedan.

There are a few copy cats yeah but I think at this point every color has been done more or less right? Honda has a color for the Civic similar to Nardo Grey and Grigio Medio.

Maybe the Dark Blue but after all my bird incidents with the EB 3er I had, I'm hesitating to do any blues again.

P.S. You mean the Q50?

My car resembles that remark. My Chrysler 300 SRT-8 has carbon fiber inserts in the door sills and trim pieces. Pretty sure it saved me at least 5 oz in my otherwise 4,300 lb pig of a car.

But admittedly, I'm still enjoying the car, as heavy as it is. It fit the bill, which was that I needed a family friendly car for my two young kids (but I wanted something with a little power too)...so it was a good compromise.

Or a 4000 pound 'Vert.

Nice timing on the Chrysler pic, a co-worker of mine just got that exact car/color. I really like the MW if you go white. I also really like the Bluestone Metallic, it looks really really good in person.

How has the SRT 8 held up for you? I was so close to getting my wife to agree to a Hellcat Charger instead of the M550. The 550 is really nice, but man it would've been fun to have a Hellcat for awhile.

They all do, Ford has Avalanche Gray, which is lighter, but similar. Speaking of copycats, have you seen those huge Austin Yellow VW Atlas rolling around town? That is way to big of a vehicle for that color.

The blue on the Q50s is really nice looking. But, Dark Blues are my favorite color so I'm definitely biased.

Honestly it's been good so far. It is a 2012, got it used with only 25K km's on the odometer in 2013 or 2014, can't remember. Had to do the brakes at about 80K (remember, these are all in kilometres) because whoever had it before me drove the snot out of it I suspect, least given the feathering on the tires and tread depth remaining. Other than a current annoying front end clunk that I haven't been able to get it in to a mechanic for, no major work required other than the brakes, which wasn't all that expensive anyhow. Currently have about 138K on it....so roughly 86K miles. I think it should be good for another four years to be honest - seems pretty solid. And I'm almost redlining it at least 3-4 times a day I figure just for the push and how it still brings a smile to my face that a car this heavy still has that kind of grunt.

Partially I like it as well because it is a little stealthy. Not as brash as a Challenger, and a little more upscale looking than the Charger. R&T or C&D called it a brute in a suit if I recall correctly, and it does sort of fit. And I like the cars that sort of fly under the radar.

I don't know how many times I've passed a cop, knowing that their radar would have showed someone in the pile of cars doing at least 30 over a few hundred metres back before I see them, but they don't move, and I wonder if it is because they are trying to aim the radar onto another car and don't suspect it was my car. I don't know - but I've been extremely fortunate in my opinion with not getting speeding tickets that I otherwise would have most assuredly deserved.

All the above aside, I've also been seriously looking at the Hellcat Charger. It is more sleeper than the Challenger, and fits the need for four doors. You probably can't go wrong, but I feel like it might be challenging to drive in the winter. I'd probably feel better with a winter beater if I got the Hellcat, but then the budget gets blown out of the water.

But, yah I'm with yah and no effing way.

Also I've seen that car. It look bad enough on a non 'Vert and on a 'Vert...............

Have you seen BMWs Bluestone Metallic in person? Very nice!

My sister has been a bit down lately since she broke up with her man. I've been a shitty friend because I'm always in pieces or too busy to go anywhere to cheer her up, so when she called last night and asked me to take her dog in for the day because the dog was violently ill after eating about a dozen bones she stole, I thought I could handle this tiny thing for her. Since her car is in pieces, and my right wrist is so useless I can't even lift a coffee mug, I thought that when the dog and I go fetch her from work in my father-in-law's car that's an automatic, I'd get her a pizza and a bottle of wine.

My sister works next to our main police station, so I pulled in on a parking lot next to it, I was very proud of myself at that point for finding a few ways to cheer her up.

I saw my ex boyfriend's dad pulling in next to me, he is a cop and he was just starting his shift. I jumped from the car to say hi to my old pall. We chatted for a bit, and then i opened the car door to step back in.

The smell, the stench of alcohol just exploded in the air. Standing next to a cop, that was my first cue on this day not going perfectly for me. The second was that the idiot dog was sitting in a half eaten box of pizza, while the broken bottle was on the backseat leg room.

First thing first, I started to sort out the glass while the cop pall of mine was laughing like a maniac next to me. He did call in an unit with plastic bags so I could get the glass off from the car safely. Again, my father-in-law's car.

My sister walks out of her office and sees three cops surrounding me, and at that very moment the dog decided pizza didn't agree with her belly. Projectile vomiting is hard, but doing that on the front seats, plural, while being held by a cop has to be extra hard, but the dog is gifted.

My sister walks in, starts laughing too, I did a pleminary cleaning operation, and I took the sis home, and drove to our home. I almost made it back, before lights flashed in my mirror.

" dad called and told me to come stop you. So, isnt this a lovely time to catch up?" My ex, who is a cop sadly these days too said.

So now six hours later the car is clean, and I have an ozone thingy doing it's magic in it over night. My sis is feeling remarkably better. Apparently laughing at me in a thing works for everyone.

I'm going to have a huge drink now. Then, if I can stop laughing, I'll be having an other one too.
