Cars behind you while you're turning and your car is lowered

What do you guys do when the a**h*** behind you goes right up your rear as you're turning slow at a angle and the driver behind you starts honking at you......this has started happening recently to me. I just brushed it off the first couple of times but today the last guy really pissed me off. I understand that some drivers don't understand wtf you're doing but I just wanted to see if people have had this happening to them. The honks, the almost rear ends, etc.....I'm not gonna take a turn into a parking lot knowing damn well I'm gonna scrape unless I drive slow and at a angle.

Put your hazards on if you're going to go that slow where cars normally dont They will know to give you space that way otherwise they are expecting you to move at the speed of traffic.

I don't care honestly. I've only had it happen once, but I doubt the guy in a '99 Taurus with a torn off bumper really has anywhere to be anway. Either way I refuse to let someone else's impatience at waiting an additional 3 seconds push me to damage my cars.

Let them honk. Honking doesn't cost you anything. edit: I like the hazard light suggestion. Acknowledging that you are sorry for the inconvenience might cool some heads.

However, how low is your car? If you are so low that it makes it impossible to go up even the most simple of bumps or ramps, then maybe your car is not suitable for the road.

Also, there is a minimum speed at which going slower does not provide additional protection against scraping. Find that speed and make sure you aren't going pointlessly slow. I've seen some slammed cars almost come to a complete stop and it makes my eyes roll. You aren't going to magically raise your suspension at a rest, it's going to be the same height at 5 mph vs 0.

Protip? If you have Adaptive Suspension switch to Sport Plus. I know, I know, it only affects rebound, but for some reason I seem to scrape less in Sport Plus than comfort.

I don't think anyone takes a turn into parking lot or stand still stop sign or red light at "the speed of traffic"

My car isn't slammed but I like I like to be cautious at times, I don't have a problem going up ramps and speed bumps but I do have OCD when it comes to my car. I'm riding on variant 3 coil overs, so the EDC is disabled on the vehicle.

use a turn signal, i hate slow turners why do you need to slow down to change lanes to get on the turn lane, just fxxking change lanes. same way i hate people who slow to like 30mph cause theres an accident. god dam rubber neckers.

You are inconveniencing people. And people who aren't paying close attention, or have no experience with lowered cars, aren't going to anticipate what you're about to do. If they are both, maybe so.

I also have lowered cars, one with a particularly expensive front lip. And I have to do the exact same thing as you at times. But let's at least acknowledge the fact that we're inconveniencing others.

Are you saying that if you drive unpredictably and someone accidentally hit you as a result of your selfish and irresponsible behavior that you would retaliate by shooting them?

dude man; i hate to break it to you...but trying to reason with the general public is futile. courtesy on the road is rare. rules are backwards so to say. for example:

Some guy cuts my turning radius line which is clearly marked on the road at a double left....I honk and the dude gives me the im crazy sign.

People ride my ass off stoplights because 1-2 is a clunker shift sometime(espec if you are going to hit a road imperfection at engagement) in a 6mt.

nothing you can do from people who do this. fuck em. god knows the reason. the art is filtering these asshats. I wasn't so good today when this minivan must have been flooring it behind my rear up until 50mph then proceeded to slow down to the limit.

emergency lights is a good solution but seems excessive. depends if you want the peace lol

If they had a halfway decent vehicle, chances are they’d respect what we’re doing and be good about it. But the fact of the matter is, and I can clearly see what goes on here, is that Mr Driver is in some inferior embarrassment of a car because 1) wife won’t let him drive what he wants 2) too big of a pu$$y to tell the wife he doesn’t want to drive what she made him get 3) or clearly can’t pony up the cash to drive what we have. hazards is a good idea. if i'm turning i normally try to put my turn signal on extra early and slow down early so they may want to change lanes if they're not making the same turn.
