Clunking and jerky shifting

Just got a 15 m3 6 speed it's got 28k kms on it in good condition has dinan stage 1 and springs. When I'm rolling in first and press clutch in it makes a clunking noise why is that and also when I'm upshifting the shifts are very jerky and snappy happens more in sport plus but at times it's smooth as butter so not sure what's wrong with it any idea?

I have something similar but my clunk happens when i keep consistent gas input on highway or something then let go and then apply gas again. I can apply the gas smooth but i can feel like something is snapping in the back and feels like a hit. Very suddle but noticable. I called it an M clunk and just keep driving, might ask tech take a look at it when i flush diff fluid

That's the 2015 model for you. My 2015 M4 was the same way. BMW fixed it in the newer model cars. Your car is fine tho it's just how that year was built.

I think it's a drive by wire system. Feels un natural. But in Acura 6 spd feels similar. My car is a dct so I'm not quite sure.

1st gear thump is normal. However if you are getting sloppy shifting then change your transmission fluid. Im sure it'll be black when it should be golden yellow. Also change your diff fluid while you are at it. Then when you inspect the car while its up in the air, check your rear differential bushing to see if it is cracked or not. That too will need replacing if it is worn.

It's only got 28k kms so about 13k miles you think the fluids could be it?

If you got it used who knows how crazy they were driving the car. Doesn't hurt to do a good fluid flush for everything when you get a used car to start a clean slate for service intervals.

My car seems jerky in 1st turning left or right. Downshifting from 2nd to 1st to an immediate green light. Still getting used to it
