Status Gruppe F8X M3/4 (F80,F82,F83) Lowering spring kit

Status Gruppe Lowering Springs are made from high tensile Chromium-Silicone wire purchased from Europe’s premium mines. Cold wound on CNC coilers the springs are then heat treated and shot peened for longevity. To finish off the process the springs are phosphate treated and then powder coated for a hard corrosion resistant finish.

By redesigning the O.E. Spring and the lowering the center of gravity our Technicians dramatically improve your vehicles performance and appearance. Incorporating a progressive rate design allows our lowering Springs to offer higher rates for improved road hold, while maintaining a comfortable ride.

* Lowering: 1.3" Front / .8" Rear (M3) / 1.3" Front / 1.2" Rear (M4).
* Compatible with EDC equipped vehicles
* Black Powder Coat for a OEM like appearance
* Progressive Spring rate design to maintain ride quality while improving road feel and handling
* Cold wound from high tensile chromium silicone wire and individually super blocked and computer tested against tight tolerances
* ISO9001, QS1400, and TUV Certified
* Limited Lifetime Warranty

progressive springs, by nature, have a spring rate range which varies under load/compression

http://automotivethinker.com/suspens...-rate-springs/

so the answer of ~20% increase from stock springs (which are linear) from SGT is vague at best

You are correct. The front springs are linear and around 20% stiffer then the factory. The rears are progressive which is not as simple as a single rate. Its more of a graph but most members will not want to get that technical when comparing springs.

i do see that the factory part numbers are the same for the adaptive suspension and without, I just wasnt sure why they would do that or if aftermarket would have specific rates for each shock

Yes we do. Most Spring manufactures do the same just list different part numbers on their sites and catalogs to make it look like they do not.

We designed these with street use in mind. We are using a progressive design to help make the ride as smooth as possible.
