They show up only after you Read ECU, and only if that ECU has Cheats in the Cheats, xml file. It is rather limited.

Isn't the anti glare euro headlights part of the cheat codes though? I see tons of screens shots on the forum showing that working for others.

I didn't add anything to that XML file because I thought that was part of the newer Pro that Tokenmaster had already included in the files.

Do I need to load that into the xml?

The pdf just contains what module and what wertes to modify, not the quickest method since you do each one by one. The cheat codes are the way to go, it's just a button click for the most part. They both do the same thing. I would only go through the pdf steps to check if everything coded correctly if you think something isn't working.

I didn't need to add anything to the XML. Just selected the box "Auto Fetch Codes" and clicked the refresh button.

Of course, you need to be editing the correct CAF to see them. For me this was LHM[43], LHM[44] and FEM_BODY. For parts 1, 2 and 3 respectively.

I downloaded the Premium version. Does that one include version where you can just click the modifications you want or is it just the PRO version? And is that what is meant by cheat codes?

The instructions I have show which values to change for each type of modification but I don't believe those are the cheat codes, correct?

Cheat codes are available in the premium version. Once you edit a cafd, they automatically show on the right. See the first post here...

When I select the check boxes for the cheat codes and hit apply do I just hit the SAVE icon at the top, hit the back arrow, activate FA and then Code FDL?

I did one and it didn't seem to change the value I expected it to.

Sounds right, you can hit the review button to see what it is changing before you apply.

Thanks for all that made this this thing available and all the help resources on here! Finally got a few things working. Most importantly got the Euro Led lights working. Just tested it and its pretty neat! I did have some noob questions regarding the cheat codes. I enabled few things and it worked (Sport mode in iDrive) and decided to want it back off. Is there an easy way to remove items added by cheat codes? I just did a preview of the cheat code to see the changes it would apply and went in and manually changed it to remove it. Is that the correct method? Again, thanks for everything!

Yes, that is correct method to undo it.

I had found these cheat codes to be clunky... Just do it manually.

I tried this today with HU_NBT2 but noticed no cheats available - is that because they all have HU_NBT as their module? Safe to rename this in the XML or am I better off doing it all by hand?

Even when the parameter names are the same, the bitmaps (which is what the cheat codes use to identify the parameters) are different between HU_NBT and HU_NBT2. So do not try to apply to HU_NBT2 cheat codes that are meant for HU_NBT, as you will get unpredictable results.

FDL code HU_NBT2 by hand until the cheat codes are updated.

Thanks - exactly what I figured, so didn't try it.

There are various "cheat sheets" with lists of codes floating around - any ideas on the most up to date and comprehensive list? The code DB seems pretty out of date now last time I checked - no updates in about 18 months.

IMO, Halsifer's cheat sheet (which you can find here) is still the best for our cars, although it has not been updated in almost a year. There are others that have been updated more recently but are very sloppy.

The above cheat sheet does not include things like "easy entry", "Euro MDM" or codings that relate specifically to the adaptive LED headlights or to HU_NBT2, but those are a few things that a search in the forum should quickly address.

Thanks!

I coded some things with the built in cheat codes (like anti-dazzle and a few other bits). Big things annoying me are the legal disclaimers which should be easy to find and turn off. It's just when I'm in my car I don't have internet connected, so I need to have some reference to all settings downloaded to my PC.
