F@cking alarm keeps going off

What the hell sets this alarm off? For the past three days my F80 alarm has been randomly going off. I can unlock (disarm) and then if I lock again it will go off again maybe 5 min later. Annoying as hell.

Do you have something plugged into the OBD port?

Nothing at all. Only difference here in South FL was higher then normal winds the other day.

Well, there goes my only idea.

Looks like a trip to the dealer is in your future.

"Higher than normal winds" - Is that enough to shake the vehicle? There's motion and gyro sensors on the car that triggers alarm. The motion sensor is internal in case someone breaks glass and goes in. The gyro is to prevent someone jacking the car up on wheels and towing it away, so if the wind is strong enough to shake the car, it triggers (it's happened to me once or twice when we had 70mph wind gushes).

My car has been doing this. Maybe the winds. Maybe the battery. I'm going to recharge my battery tonight. Because it is embarrassing at work.

A motion sensor in the alarm system can go bad and cause this.

Just had the sensor in the left rear interior replaced under warranty when mine was doing this.

A second push on the fob lock button when locking will disarm the motion part (look for the red light on the mirror to go solid after the 2nd push) of the alarm till you get it fixed.
