I was hoping for Monte Carlo from the M5. I think the M5 looks stunning in that color.

I keep hoping for the 2nd year they bring a few more colors. Jerez black or carbon black would have been nice, a different red option, definitely a different blue, a real silver.

I'm probably doing Sakhir instead. I was thinking YMB originally since I do love it, but this will be a car for the whole family and it seems that I am the only one with such an affinity for the color.

YMB is almost a dead ringer for the light blue in the M logo. My idea was to get red calipers and have the wheels powder coated to match the deep blue (which isn't too far off from black wheels after all) in the M logo as well. I think it would look cool, so maybe someone else will try it out. Or maybe it's a terrible idea, I don't know.

Very much hoping it looks great, because I just put an order in this morning. YMB M3 with the cloth black interior. 6MT w/ 19" black wheels and the HK stereo. I have a slot in the first production run! Can't wait!!

Everything looks different in person and especially with this color. In some pictures I hate it, but in some others I love it....

I would definitely have to see this up close and personal. I'm open to any of the new colors YMB, AY or SO but will only order after I've seen them up close.

One thing for sure is I'd never order any of those colors sight unseen. Only black or white are the only colors you can order without checking them out.

Man, I'm loving YMB. My biggest holdup is whether to go with Silverstone leather or really take a chance and go with Amaro Brown. The YMB + Amaro Brown combo looks amazing in my head, but I'd really like to see an example first.

The only thing I wished that YMB had was more metallic fleck in the finish. Overall, I liked it.

I thought I wanted Silverstone interior too, but after looking at an M6 on the dealer lot (brand new) with that interior and actually seeing some wearing/coloring on the seats from pants, I decided not to. If a brand new car on the lot has that, I don't want them in my car i'm driving every day. I am still thinking about Shakir Orange interior though, and I apparently have a couple of weeks before the build actually starts to change my seat choice.

I hear you on the maintenance issue. The dye transfer is a pain in the ass, but it's not permanent and I've convinced myself that I can be on top of regular cleaning and conditioning with Leatherique. I've seen that stuff rescue horribly neglected light colored leather.

That said, I've seen a number of M5s with Sakhir and it looks great in person. I don't think you'll go wrong with either choice.
