Ohlins and a detail

Some pics with the new Ohins coilover set up. Broke my back for several hours on the detail. Thanks to the guys at Autocouture for the install.

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing!

By how much was the suspension lowered with Ohlins R&T?

Used the stock spring rates that were supplied by Ohlins. At first it was a bit stiff but Autocouture dialed it in some more..much better. Still room for adjustment on the settings. So far very happy. As it rides imagine EDC setting between comfort and sport. As far as handling..incredible. On rails. I had eibach springs and adjustable koni shocks and struts on my E46 M3 ...no comparison. This is on another level. I never liked the stock EDC. So for me this an improvement. One setting..done.

I like M Adaptive (aka EDC) suspension but it falls short of what I would like to see:

- In Sport Mode: less bounce, deeper (more travel) compression / rebound cycle with a corresponding reduction in cycle time (for example - faster rebound) to maintain suspension geometry

- In Comfort Mode: less float

Wish Ohlins made EDC compatible coilovers ...

My options are limited to Bilstein B16 Damptronic coiovers or B6 Damptronic shocks with stock springs (do not want to lower the vehicle).

My goal was to slightly lower as I could not stand the stock front end looking like a 4x4. But I did not want to slam the car as its my daily. I also wanted less float so to speak in regards to the stock suspension. More composure. More response.

From what I've read and what I've been told..Bilsteins run stiff.

have a read:

Maybe your best bet would be the B6 Damptronic shocks with stock springs and look into coding the EDC (not coding out). I've read that it helps.

i deleted my previous response realizing I misread your question...lol.

I didnt take exact measurements..however, when explaining what I wanted in regards to the stance I said the following:

lowered not slammed
I dont want to scrape the lip everywhere
its my daily and I drive the wife and kid around.

Lol..that was it.
