I have a roll race coming up in September here in Dallas that i'll be attending so i'm focusing more on dialing in the tune for that. The car is currently running a tune by Paul Johnson as i wanted to see what different tuners would be able to produce with my setup. Halim did an amazing job and both tunes made about 900whp/800wtq a few weeks ago. Keep in mind it was done in anywhere from 90-100+degree weather so IAT's are high. If it was boost season i'm 100% positive the car will break 1000whp on PUMP E85. I HIGHLY recommend both tuners. |

I had my engine built before the PS2+ released and dealt with valve float etc. I am not going to push the envelope anymore for kicks and gimmicks as the car has been through a long journey to get where it's at. Right now i'm just going to enjoy the car. Both Halim and Paul are great tuners and the car is running strong. If it aint broke, i aint fixing it. Yes. I am running their J-Pipe as well. Mike really did me a favor for these and overnighted it to me 2-3 hours before they closed. Excellent customer service and shop. |

I have 3 maps that i use. 4BAR 93OCT, 4BAR E85 and 4BAR E85 flames. The car is daily driven on my E85 map(40psi). The E85 flame map is just for show and the 93OCT map is for rallies and road trips. When you’re on a rally with every other car pushing >600whp, it’s going to be impossible finding E85 at every gas station. That is why i flashed to my 93OCT map. I hope this explains things better. There are more threads than i can count on this forum with cars making 6-700ish WHP on a stock block. It is not necessary to build your engine to do so but IMO it is not wise. Especially if you’re using the kickdown or driving it hard but to each their own.

So what is your process when it comes to emptying the tanks of one fuel to put in the other type of fuel? If there’s only e85 left on the tank, do you wait till it gets completely empty like 5 miles left to switch the map and go 93? Do you switch maps at the gas station?

I did not do WMI because i find it inconvenient having to fill up the separate tank. It definitely helps 100% there's no denying that but as a daily driver i don't want to mess with it. PI has not given me any issues. I know a lot of people top off their tank of E85 with the grape top lube scent or whatever but i have a bottle and i never used it. The rate i run through a fuel of tank(2-3days max) i don't think it matters in my case.

Now, I do understand what you are putting down that "horserpower is just a fancy number" in correlation to torque, no doubt. This is a dumb question on my end but... how much faster is an 800whp/650wtq car than a 650whp/650wtq car in things like 60-130mph pulls? |

Reviving this thread. I didn't get a chance to make it to my roll race event but i will have 60-130 times soon. Here's recent dyno numbers from today. It is still hot here in Dallas with DA above 2000. Tuned by Paul Johnson.
The only change in performance mods since the original post was adding Evolution of Speed's Intake Manifold and bigger injectors to go along with it.
