2021 BMW M340i  [0.00]
So today I am told we can fold the refund into the new loan, or if I want a check I can get it but it may take 4 months or more due to COVID backups etc etc.
I don't care either way because I don't need the cash, but that seems a bit awry if you ask me...

You can in fact, roll the refund into the new vehicle. It'll go as your down payment, we do it at my dealership all the time(not BMW). Not sure how true the 4 months because of Covid is though.

That is what I figured...I can do either, but I am calling the dealer back tomorrow to see where we are with this. The car just arrived today so......

any update on this? When buying my car, I chose the Extended vehicle protection platinum plan, but I realized I don't need this. who did you first contact to get this started?

Call the dealer who sold you the warranty. You'll probably need to get in contact with their finance department and sign some papers. Relatively easy.
