These were the results from successful coding for F80 increase top speed, vehicle was fresh off delivery and DME was just taken off transport mode. Will not be able to test if it worked until Spring. Vehicle locked away for winter and after 1200mile service. Will repost if it worked or not. If it does work it seems BMW has hid the limiter elsewhere and not in the DME. Either way stay tune for go or no go on the retrofit working.

any update on this? Picking my car up in Munich at the end of May and I'm hoping to do this right away before the DME hits 10 hours.

My order does not appear to have an M Drivers Package on the build sheet.

Isn't it 7ME ?
7MA being the competition package.

My understanding is that 7ME orders the participation to the training session and once completed, they give you a certificate and provide your dealer with a special code with allows for the increase of the speed limit (up to 305km/h for the M5 for example, depends on the car).

I found on the net the attached ordering form which describes the process. The form is from March 2013, I have been unable to locate a more recent version. I'm sure someone from BMW could concur on this.

I'm trying to have my dealer (in France) agree to order the 7ME option for me for retrofitting my M5 F10 of August 2015 with 11000km already (way more that 10 hours of driving) but they have no clue about the procedure to do so... I am the one pointing them at the option, the M Driver Experience training, etc.

I will report back if successful.

What is the VO code for MPPK for F30? What else would it do besides (hopefully) raise the VMAX a little?

MPPK requires an E4 FSC Code, adding HO-Wort = NPOW to FA, and Flashing DME with new Firmware. MPPK boosts Horsepower and Torque, but does nothing to raise VMAX.
  • Horsepower increased to 320hp (20hp gain). (35hp gain on PIL F020-13-03-500 vehicles)
  • Torque is increased to 332 lb-ft (automatic transmission) and 317 lb-ft (manual transmission)
  • Faster acceleration: 0.2 seconds faster than the standard 335i model from 0 mph to 60 mph. 0.5 seconds faster than the standard 335i model from 50 mph to 75 mph.
  • More dynamic accelerator pedal calibration in Sport Mode.
  • "Exhaust burble" sound during engine overrun conditions.
  • Sport Display now shows increased power figures to reflect increased performance.

I can confirm the governor is set at 167 mph. Well at least mine is. I've hit it many times. It's called the Autobahn for those wondering about roads long enough.

And yes I have a US spec car.

Same. Mine Pegged at 168 indicated.

I had my limiter raised in ISTA also in both my F80 and F85. But it doesn't actually work.

Yes Bosch hid it. Don't know why maybe afraid to unlesh all they power. Can you imagine how may totaled F80 & F82's there be if that limiter was removed. Not even DINAN can touch it.

No precaution, but this is waste of time. It has never been proven to work.
