Btw, Lups I coded a ton in my car as well and I think i've forgotten the bulk of them....lol. Some features I will never actually see work (like the Emergency Braking triple flash).

The one item that I initially coded and then changed back to default was setting the idrive to instantly power off when you open the door. It initially annoyed me that the car would just continue playing bluetooth music or whatever as I walked away until I locked the car. But after coding this to shut off, I found that I was more annoyed at not being able to continue listening to either music or sports talk radio while getting gas. So I went back in and re-coded this back to default.
I took the fixed headlights out for a test drive last night.

I truly hope more miles will help but god they are annoying.

I probably could do these myself, and my hubby certainly could but I've proven so many times that when it comes to this car, I always fail no matter what I try to fix or to install.

They were probably coded incorrectly.

I think sport+ also has more pre-spool with the turbos. I notice a big difference on throttle response (not sensitivity).

No. I only did 60 miles and after 20k of hate it will probably take some time to adjust.

At least last night they still seemed to be all wrong. I'll go out tonight again with a better attitude.

He's most likely right Lups....they probably are incorrectly coded. The new coding for the anti-dazzle LED function was just recently uncovered in the past couple weeks.

That is, unless the "pro" (as in, get paid) coders have known about this "new" coding for awhile and simply kept the secret to themselves Never know.

Going out tonight with a better attitude won't help if they are coded wrong, but I like the way you think ....values for two modules need to be checked. LHM (43) and LHM (44)

If I had my way, the engine would turn hay into poop.

I can ask him, but I doubt this is the case. I had only a few good spots to see them working last night and as said, a year of hate behind me. I'm too stubborn to like anything straight away.

You don't really expect him to tell you "Yes, I coded this wrong", or do you?

Easily, I'm the biggest fuckup of the northwest. Admitting to me this would be like a walk in the park. It would be a two minute fix while drinking coffee.

I'm pretty sure the issue is me. It has always been in the past.

He might simply not know. When no-glare high beams are working correctly they are really not intrusive.

I hope I'm wrong, and my nights will transform into perfection but it would probably take an other 10k for me to admit that too.

Oh, he coded my indicator to blink five times. This is by far the most perfect modification I've ever had.

You then adjust the brightness of the Instrument Cluster with the controller next to the light switch and the brightness of the Ambient Lighting in iDrive.
I can't believe that I didn't notice the ambient lighting. Only after this thread and this post and coding it, and then changed to Classic that it popped out . The sport setting in iDrive is barely noticeable on SO interiors even at max setting. Thanks!

Thanks for these codes

I've activated the rear LEDs to switch on together with DRLs.

Is there anyway to make the rear LEDs brighter ?

I can barely see it in daylight

Thanks

I have not tried playing with this. However, I am fairly confident that the brightness of the tail lights when activated as part of the DRLs is controlled by TAGFAHRL_H_x_PWM_LEVEL_1 and TAGFAHRL_H2_x_PWM_LEVEL_1 (where x=R or L). These parameters are already set to maximum brightness (64 hex = 100%), so I do not think there is any way to increase the brightness by coding.

Thanks for that

BTW, can I also ask abt TPMS ?

My M4 doesn't come with TPMS as standard (Only those using the ABS sensor).

I have since purchased the TPMS sensors on all 4 wheels.

I have done the following codes;

HU_NBT 3000 RDC -> aktiv
HU_NBT 3001 RDC_FORTSCHRITTSANZEIGE -> aktiv
HU_NBT 3001 RDC_SAFETY -> aktiv
HU_NBT 3001 RDC_REIFENUEBERWACHUNG_RDC_RPA -> RDC
HU_NBT 3001 RDC_DRUCK_TEMP -> druck_und_tempratur

I have managed to change the TPMS screen on iDrive to display Temprature and Tyre pressure ... however, I can't seem to get a reading on the screen.

Temp and Pressure are blank.

Can't seem to be reading the TPMS sensors in the tyres.

Do you know if there is additional coding needed to activate this function ?

Cheers

My car came with TPMS from the factory, so again I have not played with this. However, I checked my settings for the RDC parameters in HU_NBT. I have RDC_SAFETY set to "nicht_aktiv". The other ones are set as you indicate. So I would try changing RDC_SAFETY and see if that does the trick.

BTW, have you tried driving around? It takes a couple of minutes after you start driving for the readings to appear on the display.

I changed mine as describe above to "insensitive" and can't describe it but the behaviour is erratic. Almost as if it should be coded to "sensitive". It seems to remain in whatever mode longer, any ideas?

Do you have Xenons or LEDs?

See this post if you have Xenons or this one if you have LEDs.

You ever find an answer to this? I had someone in Raleigh code mine and even though he found something he thought would do it, it never made a difference. Specifically, I wanted to change the max speed I can drive while moving the roof, and I also want to change the distance away I can use the key fob to move the roof (currently I can unlock and roll the windows down from yards away, but have to stand basically by the car for the roof to move). Annoying to say the least.
