Bilstein PSS10

Does anyone have any reviews of the Bilstein PSS10 on the F8x?

I've done some looking around but I don't see anyone running them or reviews of them.

subscribed. I searched and reached out to some members that have them. All seemed pretty happy. Would love to get more feedback.

I just ordered a set for my m3, I've always been a KW V3 fan boy, had them my evo x, frs, 335. Finally thought I would try something different.

kkakonn is in the shop getting his installed right now

We have also received nothing but praise for the PSS10. Our feedback generally consists of the great ride quality for daily usage. The PSS10 has a softer spring rate equates to a much softer and more comfortable daily drive.

Shoot me a PM if you have any questions about this set up

I just had these put on yesterday and so far the feedback is good. The ride quality is exactly as described, its VERY comfortable for daily driving. I had the adaptive suspension and I thought I was going to miss it, but I love the ride quality of the PSS10. The only thing I might do is soften them up a tad more and they should ride like clouds. As far a negatives, the one thing I've noticed is a little extra noise from them, but I'm not sure if its coming from the coilovers or the new wheels and tires. However, I only got to drive it back from the shop so I haven't really gotten a feel of it. But so far I love them. Coming from a KW V3 fan boy I don't regret the decision to change it up one bit.

What stiffness from 1 to 10 did you have it set at?

I am a big fan of the PSS10 and currently waiting for them to come out with the damptronic.

The shop had it set at 5 and 6. I might tweak it a little more as I prefer it a bit softer since I just drive it around town. But the way its set right now, doesn't feel stiff at all thanks to the soft spring rates

I'm definitely interested in the damptronics version.
Do we know if it's coming out?

Wait a few weeks. Bilsteins take some time to break in.

I really liked 8 all around. I started at 5 and it was just too under damped and I didn't like the feel. 8 was perfect imo. I'm putting these back on my new car this weekend, OP, feel free to shoot me a pm if you'd like to see how they feel.

Hi, I just wanted to ask how are you finding the pss10 coilovers on your m3? I am cross shopping them with kw and cant decide

Get Öhlins Road & Track. For a passive setup, the Öhlins are more comfortable and better handling than anything else out there.

Apologies if this is a bit of a threadjack, but...

I've heard/read mostly positive things about the PSS10's, but can't seem to pin down for sure what the lowering range is for this kit. It would be on an M4 if that matters.

Bilstein advertises it as 30-50mm(F)/30-50mm(R). But in other places I've seen it listed as either 10-35mm(F)/20-35mm(R) or 30-40mm(F)/5-25mm(R).

Consensus seems to be that the PSS10's are a relatively "mild" drop, but would love to know what the actual range is from someone that's measured. Especially since a *minimum* drop of 30mm is a little more than I'd be considering at max...

The official measurements from Bilstein on the F82 M4 PSS10 kit are 30-40mm for the front and 5-25mm for the rear. Listings in other places are subject to confusion on the part of the people making the listings.

You da' man. Thanks for the clarification. I really like a lot about the Bilstein kit, but a minimum of 30mm in the front sounds fairly aggressive to a sissy like me that's worried about scraping the front end everywhere I go. Need to think about this one a bit more.

The minimum drop is just about perfect in my opinion, it doesn't become much of a liability unless you have a front lip. Remember that the front of these cars is, in a technical sense, located on the 3rd floor so there is some room to go down before you have to drive extremely cautiously everywhere.

KW Clubsports are night and day compared with PSS10, especially on the track or under hard or high-speed cornering. Have a look at previous threads and tell me if anyone is saying different. I know people at Nurburgring who'd rather track with standard shocks than PSS10. If you are after soft, comfort driving, then that's a different story...
