I was offered $67.5k for trade-in value this week, even with my crazy high mileage. |

Was delisted a couple of days ago. Probably a deal that fell through. LA area, would be pretty surprised if it lasts long. Trying to recall, trade in offer is more than you paid, or about even?

Seems like retail based on BaT auctions should be around 80k. I'm in the process of finalizing a private sale with a forum member. Kicking myself for some of those steals on BaT in the past 12 months. If Flint_Rockbone is a member, I'm jealous of your buy last June!

BaT 80k is 84-85k real cost. Dealers know it. Letting a good one go over 2-3k might lead to more kicking, especially if you think the GTS is a keeper.

Yeah agreed. I'm happier buying from a Member than buying sometimes from a off-brand dealer. They really haven't done anything to earn the value. If it was through a BMW dealer that's one thing, but dealers who buy stuff at auction and wash it to put it on their used car lot with little-to-no work isn't.

Bought mine 3 years ago this June. 700 miles, one owner. Actually the only time I've ever felt guilty negotiating. Independent dealer, working direct with the owner, good guy. After a couple back and forth and momentum in my direction, said very credibly (at the time), "if you only knew the bath I'm taking on this one..." Caught me off guard. "Alright, good enough then."

Dealership offered me 65k recently with 23k on it and a small fender bender... Same dealership offered me 45k a year ago with 5k less miles. I think I can put another 10k on the car and sell for 75k in a year if I wanted to. |

GTS will go up 10% per year for the next couple of years. Why? Multiple reasons:
1. The vacuum effect. The new M4 will have a CS/GTS/GT4 or other "track" versions that will be $145k or so. That will create a vacuum for the previous halo car. 2. All of the totaled or exported GTS will reduce the available population available for sale. 3. We may see the final rotation out investor owners out of the car in the next 12 months after waiting 5 years for that amazing payoff. They will take the haircut and get out. 4. True BMW collectors will jump in to the market; They already have an M1, a 2002 Turbo, a E30 M3, a 328, etc and a M4 GTS has a spot in that collection. I have lived this curve before with an e36 LTW. Deja Vu. |

Thanks. I feel like I got a great price on that car. I'm definitely planning to hang on to mine for the foreseeable future. These are amazing cars.

Around $90,000 at dealers? That is what it looks like at a minimum considering what is available now on the main sites. Checked Germany and France again. Everything over $150,000 now. Taking mine out of the garage now after a long winter. Time to drive it! |
