Has anybody been able to figure out spring rates of this kit?
I like how my 2018 CP rides , I just want it a bit lower.
I would simply install lowering springs but most are softer than the CP springs and swift have higher rate but too low.
People say KW and MPerf are same kit, is that true, anyone with direct experience with both?

For sure not at lowest in front. Im not at lowest and still lower than that.

Something seems off with your car. Way too much rake and the rear looks too high. The M3 body is not designed to have even fender gap...

if that's all the way down in the front something is off, maybe they didn't press the new spring perch on until it bottomed out in the provided tool?

Just picked up my f80 after having the kit installed. I went 25 mm in the front and 15 in the rear. Just to echo everyone else, it should have came like this from the get go. I will try to get some better pictures.

We could've been almost-twins.

Newly installed MP Has kit! I feel the rears are a bit low. Question though, how does one adjust the rears to increase the height? Should we turn the perch clockwise or counter clockwise?

Coding and Performance question.

I was one of first to install MP HAS when Released in USA several years ago. 2015 M4. I did write up here afterwards.

Great mod.

This week I installed shadowline tailLights. Alex @ Alpine did coding. Great guy.

The car’s software has been updated a couple times. Complete. By dealer. Most recently about 1,5 years ago.

Alex the coder said Update of the EDC & calibration of the ICM sensor was appropriate for my MP HAS system. And, the dealer may have forgotten with the last update. Certainly possible.

Question: Anyone have real experience knowledge about this coding option? Update of the EDC & calibration of the ICM sensor. Like track or extended spirited driving, not freeway on/off ramps or a few quick turns. Is it necessary? Will there be actual performance improvements of the HAS?

Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks

There is nothing like that, not sure where the mythos is coming from.
No calibration is needed, the dealer can't pick between stock or HAS suspension.

The dealer connect the car to ISTA and newest software gets flashed. After the flashing everything gets resetting and cleared...done.

It's not a miracle, dealers tools are very Tech friendly and kinda "dump". Just pushing buttons...lol

Edit: Every individual coding will be deleted if the ECU gets flashed.

So, the Coder (Alex) states he can just remove the Update of the EDC & calibration of the ICM sensor. He said the dealer didn’t turn the option on for the MP HAS (like there’s an on or off type option, not 100% what he meant. Yet, he clearly tells me he can remove whatever he changed. No problem) Much like he coded the mirrors to fold in when the car is turned off.

What do you make of that statement? The car now seems more bouncy (I’m on my third generation of M cars so I’d like to think I’m not imagining this)

I'm sure he's talking about EDC CS coding or so.

MP HAS doesn't require any software and the dealer doesn't have anything to pick from.
All options are within your VO, and MP HAS is not a part of it. The only difference is EDC or non EDC. I'm sure if he's talking about update, he's talking about coding! It's not an update but a different fine tuning in coding. Some older cars needs to have the EDC software updated for CS coding just because the CS came later to the market.

The dealer doesn't have any option to turn on, the dealer tools are almost full remotely to avoid user errors. Everything the tool need to know is within your VO.

Will this fit a ZCP convertible? I was debating this or Dinan.

I am not sure it is entirely accurate to say MP-HAS does not require software per se. My understanding is that a minimum version of the EDC module software is required for the EDC to work optimally with the MP-HAS. So older cars need to have the EDC flashed. But as you say, I haven't heard of an On-Off software switch for the HAS.

Hey everyone. I’m having a race shop install these as we speak. Is there a definitive way that the smaller helper springs should be positioned in the front and rear? Should they be on the top or bottom?

There's no helper springs in front. Rear helper springs go on top.

Would it be possible to mix up “A” and “B” and install them on the wrong sides? Or will it just not work the incorrect way? I’m asking because I had a shop do this and just want to double check that it was done correctly. Is there "left" and "right" language indicated on these thread sleeves? If so maybe I can confirm myself.

How much actual performance do you get out of the MP HAS? Aside from the lowering, does it make a NOTICEABLE difference in handling? What would you rate the improvement from 1-10?

I’m torn between MP HAS (my goal is OEM+) or a Coilover setup. I don’t want to lose the EDC function but I also don’t feel ready to drop $$ on a set of EDC coilovers since my car is relatively low mileage.

It’s the lowering that improves performance.

A lower center of gravity means less weight transfer during cornering and braking. Due to tire dynamics, less weight transfer yields to more total grip.

Further, a HAS systems allows corner balancing and fine tuning of handling characteristics with ride height adjustments.

I am having an issue with front end noise, specifically when i turn the wheel either direction full lock. There is a clicking/minor thump type noise. I am running 275/30/19 up front and 295/30/19 in the rear. I also added 5mm spacers all around. I really started hearing the noise after i installed the spacers so i was thinking maybe the fronts were rubbing? I took the spacers off the front but can still here the noise. It isn't as bad, but still there. I am lowered 25 mm in the front and 15 mm in the rear. The tires are Yokohama Advan's. Could they be rubbing? I am going to call the dealership tomorrow but wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience? There isn't any noise while normal driving, only when turning the wheel and once it straightens out there is no more noise.

Why don't you turn it full lock and get out of the car and see if it's rubbing? Sounds like it is
