I explicitly told them about SCH before I brought it in, and asked them to check it. They used a tool to check crank bolts which they said were fine. I asked them if CH was fine (not spun) and they said yes.. |

I added 14L E85 from Co-Op at 248th yesterday to get a full tank with Shell 91 and it seems to run way smoother, even at part throttle. Might be something to try when you get this figured out.

UPDATE: FIXED!! So happy. As I suspected it was a vacuum leak, I checked everything over of course except for the last part which I checked today - the BMS J-Pipe cold charge. I noticed a hose clamp was a bit loose so I went to tighten it and it kept tightening didn't seem right wouldn't lock down.. opened the bay up and noticed that the boot came completely off the J-Pipe, not sure what happened but it was just resting on top (tight in there so it looked connected). Tightened it all down really good and the car is running beast now. CEL also automatically went off.
Next question is if this was loose before, would running WOT on Map 2 cause the major timing shift I experienced? Last edited by PacificBimmer; 06-04-2020 at 10:02 PM.. |

Yeah the question here in BC is always Shell 91 V-Power or Chevron 94, or some mix -- interesting way to mix.. have you done that before?

I watched VanCity Audi guy on youtube do it on an S4 to eliminate knock retard so I figured why not. I suppose I could log any ignition correction on bootmod3 to compare the different fuels but I know what I feel and it feels good! |

Maybe you should try to enjoy the car the way it is I heavily modified my 335i. There was a lot of fun but a lot of expenses and headaches along the way. For my M4 I'm trying to keep stock and just enjoy driving it without constantly looking for things to improve. |
