All the demos I have seen are just one car coming towards or driving in front of the "Hero" car. Realistically there are hardly any single lane in each direction roads near me. Most have 2 or 3 lanes. I would guess in this situation that the High beams would just switch off. Is this correct in your experience?

I'm having a weird issue with FLE44 only.
The following parameters seem to be locked --whenever I tried to FDL code the correct values, they end up reverting back to UNKNOWN. Reading from ECU: Schlechtwetter_C1_Idx 00, 02, 02, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00 (UNKNOWN) Schlechtwetter_C2_Idx 00, 02, 02, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00 (UNKNOWN) Stadt_V_Idx 00, 02, 02, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00 (UNKNOWN) Intended: Schlechtwetter_C1_Idx 00, 01, 02, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00 (07_Value) Schlechtwetter_C2_Idx 00, 01, 02, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00 (07_Value) Stadt_V_Idx 00, 03, 02, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00 (07_Value) It's only happening with these three parameters. It's only happening with FLE44 --FLE43 allows you change these values without reverting back. I've tried selecting it from the drop down menu. I've tried using cheat sheets. Any ideas of what could be causing this and how to resolve it? Thanks. |

I've been following this thread since its inception, and my apologies if this has already been covered, but can you code the all the adaptive LED lighting functions like VLD/tunneling function with Bimmercode in expert mode? Or do you have to use Esys? I found another thread that showed what things to change in Bimmercode, and all the functions appear to be working with the exception of the tunnelling function. I have a fully loaded 2016 F80 with all of the necessary hardware to make the tunnelling function work, just can't seem to figure out how to do it with Bimmercode. Left high beam is shutting off as it should for oncoming traffic, but I'm blinding the car in front of me on the highway without the tunnelling function working properly.
Here are the items I changed, although the last one was already set to "enable", so I didn't make any changes to that.

Statd_V (Class V Town Light) should have some type of corresponding static bend (turning) light which is created by an increase in intensity from the horizontal spot element. |

Bimmertech is selling ADB coding for $199 for my 2018 F80. Has anyone purchased this from them who would like to share their experience?

- some will work with coding alone - some will require physical modification to the headlights using a specialized tool before coding is applied - some won't work at all with the installed headlights Until those are clearly defined, it's a high probability of money thrown down the drain. |
