Can you run stage II with high flow cats?

I didn't want the raw gas smell so I am installing high flow catted pipes, am I safe to go to stage II tune on BM3? My understanding is that the stock cat's shouldn't be run stage II but these are much higher flowing cats.

I've used BPM Sport with Turner HFC. I let them know and they sent me a Stage II tune without issue. I can't imagine there would be an issue with BM3, MHD, or other custom tune

I've run BM3 Stage 2 93 with stock cats no problem. PTF said just don't crank up the burble AGG beyond 5. If you have burbles off then no worries at all.

You can run it with stock cats. I have done it for three years now, no problems at all. The stock casts flows good so there is no reason tyo buy high flow cats for such a tune if you ask me. I have dynotested and compared with catless car.

Do you know if the OTS burble tune for stage 2 is above level 5? Wondering if it's safe to run OTS burbles with stock down pipes and stage 2 93 bm3.

I don't know since the burble length and aggression are internal values in all cases except Off and Custom. You can try setting custom AGG to 5 and Duration to 1 and then compare.

To add to that, and I'm sure others are aware but I ran some burbles on my OTS St2, and after 9 months blew out my oxygen sensors. Had to replace them.

I can second this. On my 15' M4, I ran the GTS tune with ZCP burbles on the OEM downpipes… my first O2 sensor was gone by month 4. The second O2 sensor was finished off less than 6 weeks later.

After that, I went with the catted Turner DPs and used spacers for the sensors without any issues for the year I had the setup.

Got the downpipes installed they were a new set of AWE's that had never been installed before, put on the stage II tune. It really sounds and feels great. Honestly I didn't notice much of a performance difference between stage I and II.

OK.. Black Friday deals are already up. Shall i go with CTS TURBO downpipe or catted MAD downpipe?

MAD:
https://mad-us.com/mad-bmw-s55-catte...-flex-section/

CTS Turbo:
https://x-ph.com/cts-turbo-3-stainle...2-competition/

Next year custom BM3 map for stage 2 is coming for my M3 so i need good DPs. I'd go for akrapovic but its way to expensive

yeah I know, I'll be contacting you soon Mike

I checked reviews on Facebook page and there is so many negative comments on CTS quality / service that I'm very afraid of purchasing CTS Turbo products.

My problem is that once I make purchase I need to make sure the product is working and fitting 100%. Returning back to USA will be a costly nightmare since im in Europe.

I wouldn't buy any catted pipes that don't have the GISI cat's, it is a big difference in quality.

It all depends on what you are looking for.

If your goal is no CEL, active autowerke with GESI cats is the way to go.

CTS and MAD are great options if the CEL is not a concern and you are just looking for a better sound and more power.
