I swapped the 666M back on to ride out the rest of the season until it's time to use the all seasons for winter. Hot take - I think BMW juiced up the power output of the Competition models to offset the relatively higher weight and inertia of the 20" 666M wheels. Change my mind lol

I think you're right haha, switching from 666m's to 763m's made a huge difference in the feel of my car. Night and day difference.

And then imagine how much better the acceleration braking and turn in feels with a wheel that is sub-19lbs.
Its all about weight.

Absolutely. The difference in feel is remarkable. The reduction in steering effort that I experienced by having the GTS coding done while running the 19" 437M setup has been partially diminished by reverting to the 666M setup. Similar story for the CS EDC coding. I'm still a bit baffled as to why BMW saw fit to equip the Competition variant of this particular 'Ultimate Driving Machine' with such heavy wheels.

But....I guess they look pretty cool?

I'm struggling with this...about to go the monoball route to compensate but I might ultimately have to go back to 19s. Suspension Secrets did a series on it and had comp wheels so I figure the bushing improvements can help overcome.

Lighter weight / lower rotating inertia 20" wheels would be OK. There is just no getting around those aspects of the 666M IMO.
