Ran in service question

Hello everyone!

My friend is about to buy a 2019 M4 competition. It has 2414 mileage. Problem is, we asked the independent dealer about the ran in service, but they said the car idrive does not have a record of ran in service.

I am not expert on the car, will there be any issues on n the future if the ran in service hasn't been done on the car?

Just means it wont be CPO'd by BMW.

Break break, also dealers sometimes wont reset the Idrive system after that 1200 mile break in service.

Politely call a dealer and ask them to look up the cars VIN, they can tell you definitively if the 1200 mile "M service" was done. All they do is an oil and differential fluid change.
You can also run a CARFAX report and see if they recorded the service if the dealer doesn't tell you (Any one have any free carfax reports??)

in my opinion, at 2414 miles, I doubt any damage or problems have been done. Get the service done now, it won't effect future ownership or longevity.

Thank you. We have talked to BMW, unfortunately the car did not have RIS. We have also been told that RIS can no longer be done as it's way past the mileage threshold and just continue with the service required every 2 years or certain mileage. That put off my friend from buying the car
