I actually like the Blue Calipers on my AW/SO F80. Its the July fourth Combo

Nevertheless if SO colored calipers were offered that would be great. I even agree with the Red as standard and how the blue does not work with other colors for sure. I would think that for what they charge for CCB's that they would give a color option as well. Perhaps we will see that in the near future from the M Performance folks but you can always paint them yourselves.

Blue does not match any of the colors offered for either M3 or M4. It just doesn't make sense. Now I will need to repaint them or buy M Performance brakes, just so they don't look weird.
BMW M Breaks have always been blue. That is the M color. I got carbon on mine for your same reason though

The blue calipers look great IMO on all colors... love them with the AY car. Buy the car and powder coat the calipers if you don't like them. I think BMW hit the nail on the head.

Read you post again above "BMW M brakes have always been blue". Not sure where you stated 2015 onwards. And why do you keep saying "breaks"?

I would have preferred black, as it was on my E92 M3. As you start beating on brakes at the track, the extreme heat cooks the paint on the calipers and it starts to peel off. With black calipers, it doesn't show as much.

Any significance to the stock Blue Caliper color?

Is there any reason why BMW M chose Blue for their stock calipers? I wish they offered more than just Blue from the factory on the M's. Yes, I know I can gold if I opted for the CCB's and I know I can just re-paint them to a different color but was wondering why Blue was BMW M's choice? Even the 3 and 4-Series can get Red, Yellow or Orange through M Performance Brake Kit. I have Mineral Grey and I would like Red Calipers or Black Calipers. My Mineral Grey/Sakhir Orange Leather with Blue Calipers took a little getting used to.

I almost got Yas Marinas Blue for my M4 but I hated how the YMB clashed with the Blue Calipers...

I think BMW's colour choice for the callipers is completely ridiculous. They're just trying to be different, but in my opinion the blue doesn't look good with anything. They should have stuck with black or silver.

Agreed. I'm guessing BMW did some sort of focus group testing and it told them that blue would be the most popular (or least offensive) stock color.

I do like them though. While I'm no fashion guru/designer I think the dark blue does go nicely with most colors.
