Anyone running 315/30/19 rear tyres on an F80 M3?
As above really!
I'm looking to see is anyone is running a 315/30/19 rear tyre on an F80 M3, I'm looking at Apex wheels so would be an 11J ET44 rear wheel I'd be wanting to run it on. Thinking I'd prefer a 315 to a 305 on the rear due to it being fractionally taller and wider while being a slightly better match to the 265/35/19 tyre I will 100% being running on the front diameter wise. Any pictures or information on if it works or doesn't work would be great! |

I'm on a very close setup for my drag set.
Apex 18x11ET44 Hoosier DR2 315/30/18 These fit fine on my F80 M3. Pix are on my M4 Base. M3 was sold, but had MP-HAS too!

Thanks for that information, no clearance issues with the tyre on the inside or outside? I was hoping Apex might have tried this fitment with the 19's as they have with 18's but sadly it's not one they have tried.

Thanks so much for your reply! That looks great, I don't suppose you have any other pictures you could post? Also do you think the rear 315/30/19 would work on an 11J ET44 as I'm look at some Apex wheels, a quick calculate seems to think it will fit very much in the same place in the arch but the tyre will be a touch more full on the rim.

I'd most likely be aiming at something very similar ride height wise to yours as well, maybe I'd go a touch lower but not much so it's good to hear your experience. I'd be going for MPS4S rather than Cup2 but imagine they will come up very similar in size to each other. I have been doing! It's a brilliant tool isn't it to help but somehow there is nothing quite like knowing which you and Rev Nut have been very helpful with extra information on. On my E92 M3 I ran a 255/35/19 front with a 295/30/19 rear as they were the perfect match in height and and side wall to each other and IMO looked great and made the car look much more level with a better visual balance in the way the wheel and tyre looked in the arch. |

The only 315/30/19 available in Australia was the Cup2 rear tyre from the GT350R Mustang but I've seen Michelin now does the 315/30 in PS4S I would think are much the same dimensions. |

The Euro Eibach's only lowered the rear of mine (M4 Competition) 10mm and lowered the front about an inch. The stock rear ride is pretty good, it's the front that looked too high!

The front was a full 30mm higher on my F80 than the back, I think I might like to take another 5-10mm out of the ride height but I've got a bit of a steep drive and want a CS splitter so didn't want to go to lower!

Did you go for the genuine CS splitter? If so did you also get the brackets and was it easy enough to fit up? |

That’s. Cool. Here is a page with specs for all the stock wheels.

I did it myself, but 30+ years of motorsport engineering made the job less challenging than it may be for some. The brackets need rivet nuts to bolt them onto the front panel but other than that, the rest of the fitment aligns well and is pretty straight forward.

I would have a go at it myself but I cant get the F80 in my garage at home and being in sunny England I don't trust the weather to stay nice long enough to wash a car let alone work on it outside! I showed a local body shop the picture you posted and the real OEM image and they have said they will do it.

How much was the rear lowered compared to stock? I’m strongly considering running this setup on mine and I’m lowered on EMD with the rear puck installed. Hoping I don’t have to switch back to factory springs in the rear.
