Fender dent - PDR or Body shop?

Paint is also damaged, thinking this is a body shop repair vs doing PDR.

and what is the proper procedure for this repair ? Pull it out and evenly fill with bondo? Or Can This be done without any filler ?

Posting to hear opinions. Thanks.

Dang! Was that from someone's door? That's definitely body shop work and I'm sure it will require at least some filler.

If you can find a really good PDR shop, they can do it. We have a shop up here in Bellevue that made a much larger ding on the door crease of my fiancee's Grand Cherokee disappear completely. I couldn't believe it. But again, this shop seems to be pretty widely known as a bunch of wizards and are probably the top of the trade. Cost was north of $600 which is quite high for what PDR usually costs, but I wouldn't hesitate to pay it again.

Moral of the story: a really good PDR shop can fix that and it might even be invisible to signs of repair.

The P in PDR is for Paintless, and that looks like it needs paint (assuming that's a chip at the top of the dent).

I had a crease similar to that once on a fender of a car and PDR was able to correct it. However there was a very faint line in the paint that could only been seen from certain angles. I'd let a good PDR guy take a look first.

The crease will be the hardest part of the repair.

I'd suggest a body shop just to save yourself the aggravation of having it looked at twice.

Since the paint is damaged, I'm going to vote body shop repair. It's also on a crease which will make PDR very difficult to make it perfect again.
