No he didn't but it's really not relate to this thread. He guaranteed it will work but I do agree it doesn't feel good after I heard all this history

OP I have an update on my car. Had another issue with the valvetronic motors going out,but once replaced the car started to cooperate and now we're just about done tuning on pump gas.
Very conservative 18psi map made 505/460 on a mustang dyno so def a true 505. Will post back after we finish the race gas map.

Very nice and very strong with such a conservative map! I can't wait to see the race gas time, those Garrett turbos have plenty of room!

Race gas plans are 28-30 psi don't wanna push that much more boost on the stock motor, that rk tunes car made 890 range at 35psi very good numbers. With the added safety of a built motor im sure it's easier to bump the boost threshold

Here we are multiple weeks later, switched crank hubs now tuning is back underway. Car made mid 600's and the stock J pipe gave way so waiting for the new one to arrive tomorrow to continue tuning for more boost. Almost there lads

You switched from another crank hub solution to the Vargas one? What made you go with Vargas?

As my tuner was tuning another car not doc kit he had a failure on the max psi hub. Wasn't a complete engine failure as he caught it prior to total destruction however he didn't feel safe as I had the same kit so Vargas v2 seemed to be the only other option that doesn't actually pin the hub. The issue was at the pin site it was actually backing itself out, and the oil cog I believe had a bunch of premature wear. When he pulled my first crank hub off mine didn't show any wear and seemed to be fine however the piece of mind for him as my car is destined to be a magazine car and get a lot of attention he didn't want any issues so here we are. Haha I trust him as he's been doing this a very long time and has relationships with a lot of the big guys in the industry, he's actually helping terry make a two step for both manual and dct cars so stay tuned for that too. Doc race and two step hoping to shoot some flames after I switch out my stock rear section

All I'm going to say is a lot of people will be asking to see pictures of the premature wear on the cogs. Also can you elaborate on the pin backing out as it is physically impossible as it is sandwiched? The only way I can see this happening is if the crank holes are drilled to deep allowing the pins to shift.

Or do you mean the bolt?

Either way good luck on the build and the cover shoot!!

Luckily he was able to catch it in time. Good luck on the feature.

Tom, is this type of issues regarding pinned hubs due to installation error from your experience? What are your thoughts?

Thanks for all the kind words I'm excited to finally get this car back and let it rip. I wanna get some profession shots taken too, especially with barely anyone on the roads currently. As far as pictures I don't have any of the wear and I did misspeak it was the bolt backing out not the pin itself just double checked my emails to make sure.

Thanks for the checking. Pretty much why they say a hub + cbc for any brand of hub solution.

Now back on topic of Doc Race kit..

Either way. Nice catch of the tuner. Not sure what was indicating to him of the bolt coming loose.
Yes exactly it was my mistake when typing, and yes very fortunate for the owner to still have his motor operational. Hoping to get good news today about my pickup date I'm ready to go at the drop of a dime to pick it up. Cameras are charged!!

If you'd like to see videos of this car finished go look at my newest Instagram post, plenty of good runs and a bunch of great noises. I was on pump in those vids at 525whp. Car was tuned on a mustang dyno so low number but feels great and as you can see runs pretty good with some higher hp cars. Time for race gas which is 600+
