Fair enough! I can make a donation to a charity of your choice if you can include an unmodified log snippet with said brake boost on a DCT. I'm hoping it's not just depressing the brake pedal by 5-10%, but really brake boosting by at least 30% brake pressure or higher.

I was wrong in saying the connecting rods will potentially be the next to go. I'm going to change my assessment to the factory clutch packs based on additional information.
I appreciate your input but you guessing what's gonna fail on my shop car next is really pointless. Let's stay on topic for this single turbo kit. I would really appreciate that. Thanks 👍

No worries! Quoting people on a forum is an invitation to discuss the specifics of the quoted statement (i.e. brake boosting) just so you know. This often leads to further open/informational discussion based on additional exchanges.

I'm sure you're aware that many have done 850+ whp builds on this platform, way before your shop decided to join the party. Everything I'm sharing with you isn't pointless but a heads up of what to expect. You can choose to experience these known failure points as you go or do something about them proactively.

You're the professional fabricator/race shop and it's your car, so everything is your choice. Wishing you guys nothing but success and good fortune! (after all the expected failures, of course)

As long as the amount of torque is kept in check, or the higher torque is applied when the engine is putting the power to the ground more efficiently, the motor should last a very long time.

I completely agree, but such tuning calibration requires someone with an incredible amount of experience and understanding with the S55.

anyhow, not going to continue going off topic out of respect for the vendor. I trust that they know what they're doing 100%

Ceteris paribus, or all things being equal....space constraints, power expectations etc.. single turbo will always be better than two turbos. It's science :-) Empirical data from twenty plus years of tuners ditching twin turbos on their I6's and installing a single in their place also prove it. The 747 going extinct also proves it...in a way

Not necessarily true on the science side. With the exception of the EFR TiAl turbine wheel, the two smaller turbine wheels have a lower polar moment of inertia than a larger single turbine wheel. That translates to better transient response and slightly better efficiency.

That said, I absolutely adore I6 single turbos.

Technically both of you are correct pending end users design intensions and ultimate end use for the car. Either way I am pumped for this single turbo business! Just the amount of space it will provide to simply work and change things mechanically is a major game changer.

Hmm i want a reliable 600whp on ACN91 octane. I don’t need super power. Would this get me there and not stress out the turbos? I track my car too, how would this do on the road course?

What tires were you running in that latest video? Are you guys putting the power to the ground?

Video reminded me of my old 2004 24v VR6 GTI with a T61 turbo kit. That car was FWD, so I had to negotiate most of my races @ +70mph roll haha.

Sounds good!! What tune are you using to archive this?

Just stock 275s in the rear Michelin Pilot super sports. There is no traction. spinning in 4 gear at 100mph on the freeway. Since I will be tracking this car I'll be going with a square gt4 style setup front and rear with road course slicks.

Yes 600whp is easy with this kit and you can track it reliably with less stress on your engine as well. My car will be setup to run ustcc and global time attack. I will be running my kit and posting an absolute ton of information and videos about it.

Yes we will have an option for recirculated W/Gs! We are doing all the pre orders currently with the open dump style.
