cts or arm catted downpipe vs stock

Hey guys,

i'm looking to upgrade my stock dp to some highflow catted dp for better exhaust sound and slightly better power, and not really interested in paying $1500-3000 for dp.

i'm curious to know how the CTS or ARM catted dp compare to stock (exhaust smell, power, burbles, and etc...) from those who are using them.

Appreciate your inputs!

both are quality options with spot-on fitment and a better sound than stock

I have the CTS catted downpipes.

They smell a little at cold start but not like a catless exhaust. Power delivery is a little more stout on the low end. Nothing dramatic.

They made the exhaust quite a bit louder. That was really the biggest change for me. I have the AA EL and Dinan muffler, and I went from downsized resonators (roughly half the size of the original AA EL resonators) back to the original AA EL resonators because the brap was obnoxious.
Too old for crazy burble, so no idea on that

Can you post a sound clip of the setup?

I'll get a clip of the current setup when I have a chance. I have a few clips of the different configs that I'd like to edit together.
I didn't record the CTS DPs with the downsized resonators. That lasted about six hours on the car. I do have a clip of those with the stock downpipes, though.

I have a catted ARM downpipe with a MAD single midpipe and the exhaust sounds great. It does smell a big on cold start but goes away after a few minutes.

De-cat DPs = cheap + loudest + rasp (even resonated) + stinky +10HP

Sport Cat DP = not cheap + louder + lil stink +5HP

OEM DP + AA Single Mid = cheap + louder + no stink +2HP

I've tried ARM and ER. So far the ER Sport Cats are my favorite, along with a fat deep exhaust.

catless DPs are really just 10whp on a Stage1/2 tune?
