YMB - to Tint or Not to Tint

Clear glass here on mine. I think it looks cleaner personally although I don't hate the sun protect

Ha, it's 70% over here in PA.

My 330xi has 20%. I've only been pulled over for it once in the 10 years I've owned it, and the cop's tint meter spit out 14%. It's been worth the $106.50 they hit me for.

I don't know what I'm going to do on the M. I'm torn between 20 and 35

well worth it ... about $10/yr

I would recommend 35% all around including front windshield.

Wow. This discussion definitely took off. Thanks for all of the pictures and feedback guys!! I ended up doing all 5 windows @35% and i really like it so far. Now just needs a nice detailing!

here you go sir.. the sun is out, so the windows look pretty damn dark, but when the sun is out, its a good median between privacy and smokey

I’m struggling with a similar issue of what I see pictured here. While it looks relatively nice, I have to say after putting aftermarket tint on my f82, sometimes the light coming through the front windshield or the angle of the car causes the windows to look less tinted than the rear windows. Is there a magic % to avoid this and make it all match up without having the rear factory tint actually look less tinted than the front?

What’s the sweet spot for dark all around without tinting the front windshield?

My previous YMB was tinted and its a nice contrast to the blue and wheels with a polished lip. I think dark tint and dark (all black wheels) on a YMB is too much. IIRC it was 50 on the front sides and 20 on the rear.
