It's not so much the money, but the trust or lack thereof to do the job right.

If you're an M nerd enough to be registered on this forum and watch YouTube, you have
all the tools and a healthy level of dealership service tech disdain to do the job yourself.

This one time at band camp, I had my M come back with a stripped oil pan bolt after a routine service at the BMW dealership. A lot more can go wrong doing spark plugs. F incompetence. 🤦🏻
