Engine: Maximum throttle response and activation of auxiliary cooling system
Suspension: Maximum damper stiffness
Steering: Heaviest steering weight

No difference in power output - possibly so over the course of a track day with hotter oil temps and heat soak without the auxiliary cooling (just a thought but can't confirm)

Per BMW and their previous publications. Turbo wastegates are tuned more aggressively to keep maximum spool/response and so the turbo spool more quickly, same power targets. Also uses a different throttle map with very low filtering versus other throttle maps where pedal position is not necessarily equivalent to throttle position.

For engine power:
Sport+ = no delay on throttle tip-in to full power
Sport = Little delay on tip-in to full power
Efficient= Little delay, tip in to 80%, then full power

In tuner speak there is the Pedal Position (foot) and the Throttle Position (intake butterfly)....and Tip-In is the speed and ramp/curve where the the Pedal affects the Throttle.

When i open my windows a bit and hit the throttle, i noticed a significant increase in the sound of the turbo’s whistle beween sport and sport+. In sport+ i hear them clearly, not so much, if any, in sport.

That's the tip in delay. Sport+ spool whistle usually happens between 2500-4000 depending on setup. The Sport tip in delay doesn't have the throttle fully open so you lose the lower RPM sound and probably only hear some from 2700-3200 on stock airboxes. Aftermarket intake increases whistle volume, and also starts the sound at 2200. Aftermarket DPs and exhaust extend the top RPM band where you hear spool whistle, plus more volume (increased outflow also causes stronger inflow). If your exhaust or burbles are overly loud it obscures the spool whistle, best whistle sound is with burbles off and valves open.
