I don't think anyone doubted m will win on track but if I want a track car I would rather get a 911 if i can afford it. Far more Porsche track events. On the street which is where 99% of these cars spend they are all over qualified and each will have justified followers based on many factors other than outright perf.

My last track day driving instructor made me very cynical about this whole topic. Magazines doing what they need to do to ensure the major manufacturers are happy with them and keep giving them test cars plus making things look somewhat closer than they really are to make for better articles and videos.

His view is that the M has always been consistently quicker than the Benz and the Audi on a track but the Benz has the nicer engine and better on the road ... Audi not as good at either ... end of review

If anyone I cared about purchased any of these cars, I wouldn't cast aspersion on their decision. They're all fine choices.

I recently went through surveying the coupe options. I personally find AMG engines to sound too common across the range because they share so many components to manage costs v. the S55 being exclusive to the F8X platform. I've never really been a fan of RS cars simply because they foist AWD on me and from a balance standpoint, the worst of the lot.

Though the F8X is reaching its denouement, the LCI 2.0 updates made it an easy choice at day's end. Do note that the C63S interior was a disappointment. The gauges look like they've been lifted from the A-class and the brighter carbon work looked chintzy at best.

Big fan of Albert Biermann. Well done, M team.

All three cars turn my head in public. Great time to be a car fan.
