THIS. Spot on quote. I think the F80 M3 and Quad both sound fine. Not terrible but not the E92 M3 or W204 C63 volcanic eruption sound.

both cars sound like tractors at cold start, not a good comparison at all.

once warmed up, both cars have their own unique character at full throttle.

my opinion though is that the giulia has a more exotic sound over the traditional i6 german motor, but in either case they are nothing spectacular.

Got to go over to v8 or v10 to really get a special sound

Sound is another compromise you have to accept to go with a “do it all” sports sedan.
