I think it could be a fantastic car but it must be priced competitively. Alfa has almost no name recognition here... pricing it higher than C63 guaranteed failure... and the M3 is still number one in value and badge recognition in the segment. I think the interior of the car is fantastic... if its reliable and priced right, it could be a winner. The exterior is't my style but it's still better than the turtle C63.

So true................and I've owned a number of Porsches in the past (inlcuding a 997 TT). Still like them but man, he alone, makes me want to bash the marques.

Nürburgring: Alfa Romeo Giulia 13 Sec. Faster than M4
Formidable performance vs. the M4. Alfa styling is defiantly an acquired taste, and reliability in the past took a leap of faith.

The Alfa is gonna be badass, I'll definitely give it a test drive and if they can get competitive on pricing and it drives like everyone says who know. Those numbers, that interior, exhaust note, and hydraulic steering... Shit, sign me up.

My opinion is that this car can't cost a dollar over 70K to be competitive in this market given the brand name and so forth... I have a hunch it will be much more expensive... as much as I like it, that will make it a sales disaster... 85-90k just won't cut it for a brand with 0 panache in the USA.

I wouldn't put it past the italians to tip the scales by modding this test car to claim a better record (i.e. Ferrari esk test set-up - uprated tires, tuned different, etc). But heck, if someone can really replicate that, forget BMW, Lambo and McLaren apparently are asleep at the wheel as well : )

Just more beast than the M4.
Almost everything is the same on paper but the Alfa has more HP Tq Top Speed On the Nurburgring this does matter. Its not a better car just more car.

Starts at $70k, seems like a bargain for a +500hp M3 killer that can lap the ring in just 7.39min(this thing should be closer to M4 GTS with sport comp tires). There are two things that strike me even more then the price though, 35psi peak boost and a weight of just 3360lbs. Can't wait to see reviews of this car!!

Is is just me or does this new Alfa bare a striking resemblance to the M3?

Looks more of a 16 C63 and 14 audi s4 rear combination with M4 style trunk spoiler

I'm gonna be the hater for this car. I know Jalopnik has the horny's for this car, but I think it's butt ugly in every way. It looks like an Abobo from the Double Dragon video game and a bloated M3 gave birth to it.
