The other M cars (M5/6) have always been powerful and heavy luxo-barges, and their buying public hasn't changed one bit.


I remember even with the older generations M3, it was (and still is) hard to find stripper cars. Many if not most of them have sunroofs, power seats and in the E46 the dreadful NAV and SMG.

But why not go back to the E30 and have a look-see. That one came standard with leather seats, sunroof, power windows, AC and a nice stereo. Weighed basically the same as a 325.

What's changed?
