Off of waitlist. My patience is starting to wear off for the BLNR so now contemplating gray market including off TRF.

I bought my BLNR on grey market and honestly it wasnt that much more than MSRP (if you buy used and not new-greymarket).

So, I finally tracked down a custom watch maker who can make a custom strap for my new Air-King.

It'll look somewhat like the pic below, but padded (his suggestion) and curved lugs and QR spring bars. Black calfskin w/ "Rolex Green" stitching to match the face of the Air-King with a brushed tang buckle.

Very excited. I did a LOT or research and ended up going with "The Strap Tailor" in the UK. I was looking at custom strap makers in Toronto, Germany, the UK and Singapore. Weirdly enough, I couldn't find any in the US.

The black Perpetual 1908 is a *damn* fine looking dress watch-- but at >$20k? Ouch.

The new Daytona is a stunner.

The GMT-II is *definitely* an acquired taste!

The Milgauss is discontinued.

The "Balloon" OP and "Jigsaw" Day-Date? They'll probably be collector's editions. The "Balloon" would be a fun watch, but it would be tough as a daily. If only I had the cashee money to be able to swap watches like that every day!

And? There's now a 40mm Explorer. I had the 36 on my wrist at an AD and passed due to its size, but I've always liked the clean look. Of *course* Rolex drops a 40 just a few weeks after I picked up my Air-King. I might have made a different decision, knowing what's available now.

Was there? My bad then-- I stopped looking at them when I got my Sub (I prefer the no-date anyway), so it's the first I've seen it.

So the acquired taste GMT Master II kind of seems like my favorite of the above... except the Daytona which looks identical to the current Platinum Daytona... am I missing something here?

Still trying to get my hands on a white-face Daytona! Reaching out to my AD... the new Tudor Black Bay 41mm with the red bezel is absolutely a stunner; maybe that will help my case!

Happy (albeit selfishly) that the Milgauss was discontinued now that I have the last model year.

OP and Day-Date are interesting, will probably be impossible to obtain for normal people, though.

Titanium Yacht Master is cool, but I wish they had done something with the Sub!

I think it's mostly under the hood/movement updates. I don't mind not much has changed from the previous model... I still want the white-face steel model!

To be honest, while I’m waiting for that new steel Daytona, I might have to grab one of the new burgundy dial Tudor Black Bays. A stunning piece with quite the movement, especially at the price. I’m an Omega fan, but I’d have the Black Bay over the Seamaster 300 Diver (and even a steel Submariner, to be honest).

Still have to go with Rolex’s GMTs over the Black Bay GMT, though!

yea i appreciate it... i COULD stretch to 15k lol but that is still far below grey market ask... might be a 20 year wait for me
