Project M4 GTS: Alpine White - JustAnothaM4 Build

Hey guys! The name is Lloyd and I wanted to take some time to display a special build that I've been working on for the past few months. I'm usually beyond terrible at documenting any of my builds but, I had to show some love to this beauty. Some of my previous builds include a JDM inspired 2001 M3, 2013 M3 Comp Harrop Supercharged, and a 2018 SMB M3 CS.

Anyways...Where do I start with this GTS? I knew this was the model for me when it first came out back in 2016. I watched a ton of reviews on youtube and listened to the negative comments and criticism. I had a chance to test drive one years ago and fell in love. I immediately thought of all those bad reviews and didn't understand any of that nonsense. They obviously had no clue on the potential of this extremely limited production track focused vehicle. Fast forward to June 2021, I browsing online and came across an Alpine White beauty at a local dealership. Lets just say I drove to the dealership immediately in my '18 M3 CS.

After an hour or 2 of negotiating with the dealer (I almost walked away to look at a Frozen Grey in South Carolina) they accepted my offer and a deal was made! I was beyond excited to take delivery of such a special car that I've wanted for so long. I'll try to keep this page updated on the process of the build.

Temp tags still on the car...this is how you do it!


WOW...what an experience out of the box!! The CCBs felt pretty good but, didn't give me that much confidence coming in hot at 150mph down the back straight. Either which way, this is what this car was made for! SEND IT!!!

I did notice that my water injection system wasn't working properly so I needed to get that addressed before the next track event.

Decided to ditch the heavy 666M GTS wheels for a set of lightweight BBS FI-R wheels w/ Falken RT660 tires. That silver with the gold CCBs poking behind looks beautiful! Also decided to swap over my Akrapovic titanium exhaust and downpipes from my M3 CS.

Next order of business was to address the brakes. The cost to maintain the CCBs especially for multiple tracks days was a bit too rich for my blood so ditched those for the AP Essex BBK. Also decided to put in proper seats like it comes from the factory in Europe and a set of higher wing stands per Team Schirmer.

Track Weekend #2 on Sept 4th - 5th 2021: Road Atlanta

Testing out the AP Racing brakes vs CCB and the Recaro SPG XL.

Modified the aero for track and adjusted the KWs 3W Clubsports per track specs.

I have issues so I switched up the wheel color! Everything looks great in gold!












I also ordered a set of dedicated BBS E88 track wheels from Slicer. Wanted to try out these Nankang AR1s that everyone has been raving about...sooo sticky!

Track Weekend #3 on Nov 20th - 21st 2021: Road Atlanta

Time to test out the 18" E88 setup with AR1s. I also quickly installed the Schroth harnesses. What a game changer! I no longer have hold onto the steering wheel or brace my leg against the door panel while flying into turns. I can be more relaxed and concentrate on my line.

Lovely car, with a very solid mod list.

I was not a giant fan of the way the car looked when they came out, but I really appreciate them now. It's so purposeful. I have yet to see one out on the road!

It was an extremely underappreciated car when it was released. I'm glad many have come to realize the value of this limited production track tool.

Welp...I'm a slacker and haven't updated the build in a while.

I did a ton of suspension upgrades over this past winter. I replaced all rubber bushings with SPL arms and spherical bearings. The biggest improvement was switching over to Ohlins TTX dampers w/ Swift springs. I also added another set of BBS E88 wheels for street duty.
