I really have no doubt this is going to be a performance monster.

But between the ugly looks and competition not being a 6MT (which I just found out), still a pass.

Was that a bug, I was watching on my phone and wondering, it's there in some shots and not others, I was thinking it was a drone

Looks aside, I wonder if companies will be able to crack the ECU without having to bench flash it. I'm guessing they'll use the same ECU as the X3M but it would be strange that an F8X with the March '19 update can't be remotely cracked but the G8X can be

really curious to hear about the weight on the new M3/M4, thats more important that power numbers.
A unique steering wheel for the comp? Bmw and their competitors Never did that never will.

Maybe make Alcantra an option like AMG but I doubt getting the competition wheel change the steering wheel shape. Think we're stuck with this.

I wonder how much weight AWD will add. If these cars are under 3700 rwd I'll be impressed due to tech. Under 3700 awd and the car game is changed forever lol.

If you push the M1 button 5 times fast, the car transforms into an SUV, for the true jack of all trades. That's why there's camo on the car

Damn looks great! Might consider upgrading down the road with the upgraded interior/tech of the G80!

Same, pretty sure you see the nostrils from the vertical grill on this video of the 3.

Also I really dislike the digital gauge cluster.
Optional analog???

Not a chance. This isn't the same BMW selling to people who would care about an analog gauge cluster.

I've said this before, but if there's no "blue light" filter on the full screen dash like smartphones have, going to be a hard sell for me. After adopting the warmer screen tones, my eyes actually hurt looking at bluer calibrations. Analog gauges don't have this problem.

Hmm, G80 RWD manual sounds quite tempting

I'm surprised no one has commented on the tire size. 275/285 is not much of a stagger. There's also not much he showed us in the video that we did not already know.

And yes I can't stand his voice.

Noticed that as well Tom, they don't want to confirm the beaver buck teef for us all on the M3 just yet...they are lurking under there though...which makes me think there must be an Avatar buried in the NBT software somewhere in the X3M of the G80...

I do like the interior being more similar to the X3M, I will give them that, except yes that steering wheel needs to go...When the F80 came out was BMW having track press days in still camouflaged prototypes? They are clearly so afraid of the looks of these cars ("here, put this bag over your head in case the camo blows off, then you don't have to see anything...untoward")...That is what makes me think the buck teef are there...sell us on metrics and get some good reviews out there then who cares about orthodontia? Dynamically should be a solid car, cheers on the manual as still an option BMW. I just can't do it though...

I don't think that'll be a problem, it's a black background with white text and not much in the way of bright images. As long as the backlight isn't too bright (or it's an OLED screen?).

I've also started setting my screen to warmer colours - using the "night light" in Windows and keeping screen brightness low. Much easier on my eyes when I have to be in front of a screen for hours.

So in AWD/DCT/Competition configuration, is this going to be close to the F90 in terms of speed?

Seeing as the X3M hits 0-60 in 3.3s (in magazine tests, so ~3.5s in the real world) and weighs 4600lbs, the AWD G80 should easily be able to hit 60 in 3-3.2s, right?

If my napkin math is right, then the G80 should be just as quick as the E63s...interesting!

It isn't a DCT, it's a ZF8.

BMW pretty much made everything the same across all of their cars. Tranny are all ZF8s, interiors are all the same from 8 series down to a 3 series to a X7 down to a X3.

All the cost cutting measures are now on full blast.

It can perform as good as it wants, with the twin tombstone grill it’s a hard pass.
Sad really. From the F8X to this...
