I'm curious who has the highest MSRP on the forum? I won't be it, but mine will be pricey after F83, Competition pack, Individual paint, individual full leather, Executive, Lighting, and cameras. I'll be "saving" by not checking the DCT box, the Nanny pack, or the Ceramic brakes. I'm looking forward to loving my car, but a six figure M4 is hard to swallow. |

As for the "six figure M4", that's not what it is ... rather it's "the car you want so you're getting it" |

New here too with an F83, just picked up on what turned out to be lucky Friday the 13th. Going in this week for the 1200 maint. before a 2000+ mile road-trip to Montreal this weekend.
Even with the first week of temps under 60, I still dropped the top, put on the heaters and drove around. To heck with conventional wisdom! |

It seems to make a deeper sound than the non-comp and the rumble turns heads when cruising at low speeds. I took it to downtown Chicago and drove in a spirited fashion through some below-ground level streets to enjoy the sound even more, love the echo. I have given it some beans on the highways, but looking forward to really opening it up soon. The rubber is almost painted on the rims, the ride is stiffer than an 88 Caddy but that's gotta be expected. I can still cruise over railroad tracks and speed-bumps without breaking my spine. I'm not off-roading in it so I can deal with a couple harsh bumps here and there. |

ShadowKat - did you have a E9x or F8x prior to this car? Curious to know the difference of ZCP for a vert

My back of the envelope math (please feel free to correct if needed) says we need around +45HP and +44 ft lbs torque to be on the same power to weight ratio as the coupe. That is certainly within reach w/o too much pain and suffering. Hope we get our own section someday.

So this is a photo through a mirror looking back at the disconnect for the Active Sound on the convertible. This is through the hatch built into the back trunk on the left. Looks like the release switch is on top instead of the side. Has anyone tried to reach it through the hatch to disconnect?

For me, vert, 4 seats & MT are non-negotiable. There really aren't many in this class of vehicles (lux sport cars). Audi, MB, Porsche don't make em with MT. |

I finally, got it the latch released with a long flat head screwdriver, but I backed out before disconnecting because I'm going to have it coded off. I figured getting back on would really be tough without pulling apart the trunk liner.
