Out of curiosity how many miles and what was the deciding factor on settling for a higher mileage one ? I've been on the hunt as well but don't want to pay more than 38k for the right one. |

Just for refrence. I bought a 83k miles F80 M3 for 37k (no tax, etc.). It was NOT clean on the outside, but the interior was emaculate. My shop that did the PPI said it was never modded, and basically looked well maintained. They said for the most part all the original parts were on it, and it looked like mostly highway miles. It needed a rear diff bushing, but was solid mechanically otherwise. I did months worth of research (probably the same as y'all did), and these cars are solid. Tanks even. Point? Continue to be patient and the right car will come around. I lucked out and if it wasn't for a redonkulous offer from Vroom and my M3 popping up for sale at the same time, I would not be writting this. Also, as you may already be aware, the opinions on high mileage M cars for purchase are all over the place. Dont get discouraged by the "I'd never buy an M out of warranty" stigma. I know it made me hesitate, but I am so glad I didn't at this point. I find this car to almost be easier to work on than my 2017 M240i I traded in, and the M experience is absolutely worth it. Anyway, good luck y'all. I hope you find a car soon! josh PS Being this car gets driven very little (6 mile commmute/weekend car, maybe 500 a month) so I figure I will offset the high mileage within a couple years... If the buy price is right might be willing to sell. Car has executive package , adaptive suspension, Harmon Kardon, Sun Shades, 19 inch oem black and silver rims. Also has the carbon cloth interior with carbon roof as well. Oil changes were always done at around 7500k and the car has been tuned since 15k miles with no issues whatsoever. Gintani stage 2 tune with Gintani Flex Downpipes. Let me know if interested. |
