To lower or not to lower
Anyone installed lowering springs and then have regrets?
I was toying with the idea. I even thought about HAS, but I don't know if I want to hassle with trying to adjust with a spanner. I don't have the ease of a lift. Thoughts? |

However, the damping adjustment was awesome and also because the spring perch is smaller, it allowed me to run a 9.5 wheel in the front plus camber adjustment. The upkeep and fear of it rusting/getting stuck/periodic checking was getting annoying to me.

No regrets period / full stop.
IMO, the OEM ride height is off. I am running the MP HAS kit and have no issues. I don't track the car and was looking to... 1. Eliminate OEM gap. 2. Adjust when switching wheel setup |

Just installed EMD springs on my F80 last week. The car not only looks great but feels completely stock. Check out these springs highly recommend.

Get the HAS and just install them at BMW recommended height.

HAS kit is way to go, after couple of adjustments you can set the ride height and wheel gaps just the way you like. MP HAS kit is not too terrible to adjust and you can do it on the ground, I prefer doing it off the lift so I can adjust the height and roll the car back and forth to settle the suspension .

Don't bother with HAS. It's a pain in the ass to adjust and you're never going to want to do it. Go for lowering springs and don't look back. I've got EMD springs on mine now and I'm really happy with them.

Plus MP HAS at least works with the stock shocks. Aftermarket springs will just kill your struts. Every single day the ride is worse than the day before. Been there done that.
