CS DCT is probably a bit more refined when shifting hard but I've noticed it still suffers from the delayed clutch engagement when moving from a stop or shifting into gear or reverse. When I had my F82 flashed for GTS, it was instantaneous with no hesitation - if you even breathe on the throttle you're in gear and ready to go. It's better from a livability perspective IMO

Reading through this thread has made me entirely reconsider shopping for a CS. Is there any non aesthetic difference between a 17 Comp with the appropriate tweaks and a CS?

Off the top of my head (check out M3/4 CS owners thread for an in depth list of differences):

- Front sway bar (base sway)
- Springs (if M3CS)
- GTS oil pan (+ 0.5L oil)
- Tuning (engine, trans, diff, MDM, steering)
- AC unit
- Sound system (if M4CS)

CS is a “whole package” type of product. Yes, you can retro fit just about everything to a ZCP if you wanted but given current price differentials the CS can be had for less than the combined costs of retrofitting the exterior aesthetic items alone (hood, carbon lip/spoiler, wheels). If we look at M3s - ZCPs are going in the mid 60s and many CSs are going only $5-10k more in some cases. That’s more of a reflection of ZCPs being way over priced relatively speaking.

If you want an out of the box package that needs minimal to no tweaking then the CS is the way to go. If you want a car to “build,” I would not look at a CS - you’d only be buying the name plate in that case.
